Curing Paranoia: trust yourself

True paranoia is when you write in your journal that you can't be open in it because other people might read it.

This paranoia is the result of fear of strangers examining your life. The way to conquer it is to realize what you write cannot be accurately known by another person solely through the written word. To truly know someone requires a face-to-face meeting.

You also watch over both your shoulders for trouble.

It's alright to look behind yourself, because that usually discourages those people who might want to harm you. However, the person who keeps on coming up behind you is probably innocent of your fears about him/her.

Two harmless women are seen as physical threats to you, even if they ignore you as they walk by.

When you practise harmlesness, no one sees you as harmful or threatening. Only people who rely on their own fears are afraid of you. It pays to greet them or acknowledge their presence overtly.

The cure for paranoia is to trust yourself, think good thoughts about everyone, talk good about others, be thankful for everything in your life.

Then you'll be fearless, and it might be mistaken for paranoia.

But who cares? Unless someone is physically hitting you, then move on without a word.
