Hail to melancholy, the darkness!
For it shall be my blanket,
my protection, my friend.
Melancholy is my child,
to provide this parent
with the joy of parenthood,
the love of a father, sadness.
Inspire me to transform myself,
for melancholy and sadness
are the tools to inspire
the left-hand path of darkness.
