Where is love when lost in the midst? (poe)

Where is love,
this heart of mine asks?
Lost in the midst
of passion deep,
answers my heart.
Please wait for love
to return from
its absence in
this heart of mine.
I saw you on here, only
to heard a voice cry,
"cinta awak, cinta awak babe!"

A flower as pretty as you
will never fade away,
"cinta awak, cinta awak babe!"

Suddenly Allah told me:
INSHALLAH IS HER.
"cinta awak, cinta awak babe!"

I must confess once
that I touched the heart of
another bumiputeri girl,
only to lose her.

Now I know differently:
INSHALLAH ART THOU!
"cinta awak, cinta awak babe!"

The Five Things Given With a Meal

Monks, in giving a meal, a giver gives five things to an almsman. What five?

He gives life, beauty, ease, strength and wit; but in giving these he becomes a partaker in each quality, in heaven and among men.

Taurine protects liver of alcoholics and obese children

Taurine, found in most energy drinks at 1 gram per 250 mL drink, could be the key chemical to prevent cirrhosis of the liver.

Cirrhosis is a medical condition found mainly in moderate to heavy drinkers and obese people.

As well, taurine may have anti-manic properties e.g. counteracts the high of caffeine.

Dona and The Buddha Converse on What He Is

The brahman Dona saw the Buddha sitting under a tree and was impressed by his peaceful air of alertness and his good looks. He asked the Buddha:
"Are you a god?"
"No, brahman, I am not a god."
"Then an angel?"
"No, indeed, brahman."
"A spirit, then?"
"No, I am not a spirit."
"Then what are you?"
"I am awake."

Belinda refered to as "dog" by McKay

Dear Belinda,

I hear that your exlover Mackay called you a dog.

If you join the Sex Party, then no one will be calling you dog.

At least, not if they respect you.

Sincerely,
Steve

Couchsurfing Project

The alternative to renting when visiting out of town...

Study Oneself

To study the Buddha is to study oneself. To study oneself is to forget oneself. To forget oneself is to be enlightened by the myriad dharmas. To be enlightened by the myriad dharmas is to bring about the dropping away of body and mind of both oneself and others. The traces of enlightenment come to an end, and this traceless enlightenment is continued endlessly.

Evil Passions

To act in this world
only promotes evil passions
to arise by the doer's action.

To not act in this world
also promotes evil passions,
so meditate on this wisdom.

Green Tea

I had 3 cups of green tea, going from an imported generic brand to Chinese to the expensive stuff.

And the caffeine high has been mellowed out by the theanine, the theophylline and the theobromine.
