My Dog [poem]

12 is old for a dog,
but she still barks when there is trouble in the hood,
so I kept her around
and fed her well with
kibbles and bits.

She may be twelve
but she still knows when trouble's in the 'hood
so i keep her close to me at night,
and put up with her stinky farts.

This old dog's mine
and she still knows when trouble's in the 'hood.
i'll cry when she leaves me in the end,
until I visit the SPCA again.

:instrumental bridge:

(spoken)
Goodbye Blue wherever you are,
in yer doggie heaven up above.
you knew I gave you love,
you gave more back in return.

2 is young for a dog,
but she still barks when there's trouble in the hood,
so I keep her around
and feed her well with
kibbles and bits.

:instrumental bridge:

(spoken)
Her name is Red.
Speak Red speak!
[dog barks]
How old are you?
[dog barks twice]
