Healthy Body Ripe for Meditation

The Buddha once admonished his disciples and laypeople alike to take good care of their bodies.

He was realistic about mindful practice, for a healthy body that is well rested is ripe for meditation.

What good is meditation to a person who so sick physically that even sitting is a bother? How long can a practitioner sit still who slept only 2 hours the night before?

Mindfulness begins with adequate rest of a minimum of 5 hours to a maximum of 10, depending on a person's daily needs and work.

Well-rested, the practitioner is able to sit still throughout the course of her meditation.

All it begins with is the breath. Then the meditation leads to just thinking. Finally it ends when the master says that it is ended.

Though, the meditator in solitude still ought to stay in touch with her master, or, at the least, fellow meditators.

That way, the practitioner is able to reduce the risk of error creeeping into her practice.
