Conquering passion (poem)

Think of passion (kama)
as the source of the dust
on the mirror or the fog
on the window of the soul.

By just sitting,
wake the rational mind
from its slumber
and control the heart.

By just sitting,
blow away the dust
on the mirror,
and wipe away the fog
on the window.

When passion is quenched,
all that is left is bliss.
