All of the Buddha (Poem)

We are all of the Buddha:
To be enlightened,
All we must do is open
Our hearts, sincerely
Abiding with the Dharma.

Indeed we are all of the Buddha, for each sentient being has Buddha-nature.

Enlightenment refers to spiritual awakening, when one is free of the bonds of suffering i.e. attachment to worldly conventions.

Thus the devotee is able to savor the brief moments of joy while realistically dealing with suffering in a compassionate manner.

The Dharma is the Buddha is the Sangha.

When one practises the Dharma with other people through selflessness, one is sharing the caring and compassion of the Buddha with others.

And that's the essence of the Sangha (Buddhist community).
