This incident happened on March 17, 2007, a Saturday evening at 11:30PM.
As I was walking home from work, I took a short cut through high school property.
A group of teens spotted me and one of them came out to check if I was a possible threat.
Instead of reacting to the threat, I stood my ground and said loud enough for everyone to hear: "Peace, ok?" until one of the boys called off the guy who came to check me out.
IMHO I was scoped out to see if I was a real threat to them. Since I responded in a non-threatening manner, I was left alone.
