Non-violent Self-defense

As I am a Buddhist, this is what I believe strongly:

Love is at the root of non-violence.

Non-violence allows for peaceful confrontation.

Confrontation itself consists of aggressive, passive, and neutral elements.

Also based on love is caring for the self. In essence, self-defense protects the individual from harm with gentle words and actions.

Therefore non-violent self-defense is based on open, caring communication.

Non-violent self-defense consists of two important parts:
  • Defend the self with the least amount of harm to other people and property.
  • Always control your mind while under stress.
