Dog Year: General Description

"Dogs can be a bit overwhelming, due in part to their attentive natures. They can march in and take control of a situation, even when it doesn't involve them directly.

This can lead people to think Dogs are nosy or gossipy, but in reality, he just means well.

Money and status don't matter to the Dog. He is more concerned with the welfare of his family and friends and will do whatever it takes to help them out of a tight squeeze or a rough spot.

Once Dogs determine a subject of interest, they usually master that before taking off for a new adventure. They like to finish what they start. They are honest and trustworthy people, ethically strong and morally kept. They make loyal friends and companions."

Something to remember when dealing with me, I suppose.

Please note that my interest in Chinese horoscope is purely for entertainment purposes only.

Debunking Astrology

First of all, astrology is a pseudoscience. Secondly, astronomy is a science.

Astrology consists of belief systems used to explain the metaphorical influence of ten planets, 12 astrological signs, the moon and the sun on human relationships, using generalizations about people based on their date of birth.

It was invented out of ignorance about astronomy, because at that time, the science was being rediscovered in Europe.

Yet astrology has nothing to do with astronomy at all.

For astrology cannot account for the differences in personality of people born on the same day. Thus it lacks consistency.

Much of the similarities between people born in the same month are based on our ability to filter out the differences and focus on similar traits in behaviour due to cognitive bias.

Thus, astrology is an inadequate attempt to explain human relationships in a simple form.

All astronomy has shown us that the sun, the moon, the planets and the stars have no influence whatsoever on the behaviour of humanity.

If you wish to learn more about astronomy, human behaviour and relationships, then learn about astronomy, psychology and sociology.
