Canadian society is so backwards it considers men's clubs to be sexist and demeaning to women, despite the fact that in Asian countries, the employment situation is stacked against women, due to the sexism rampant in Asia.
There will never be a club where I could pay to date a woman and privately negotiate an arrangement for relationships that would be deemed prostitution in Canada.
Instead, it would be shut down as a brothel under our antiquated Canadian law, due to the misunderstanding that we have about sexwork in the 21st Century.
Instead, our laws about prostitution have facilitated the Picton serial killings and several unsolved serial killings involving prostitutes.
I have yet to hear of a serial killer targeting prostitutes in Malaysia or Thailand. Could this be a benefit of living in a Muslim country that has rejected wahhabism?
In any case, Canadian prostitution laws need to be thrown out because they actually lead to the high risks associated with the lifestyle. What Canada needs are sexworker friendly laws which protect the workers and make clients more socially responsible.
Though I cannot see this happening unless the bawdy house laws are thrown out and replaced by laws that protect brothels and sexworkers.
Until then, the serial killings of prositutes will continue unabated because the police forces in Canada are inept.

Did Mohamed Merah Truly Kill Anyone?
French news spun a story scapegoating Mohamed Merah recently.
Evidence may show that Merah was shooting in self defense when he escaped his apartment after being targeted by French police, his suite doused with teargas.
His actual crime may have only been stockpiling illegal weapons.
Merah died March 22 after a lengthy chat with police qas he holed up in his apartment.

This is my 2010 Anti-War Statement!
Today I talked to my first war veteran, and started off by mentioning my birthday is on Remembrance Day.
Then, after some small talk, I got to the point, and we spent a moment discussing the Russell Williams case while staying focused on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Because Williams plead guilty rather than subject his family and his victims' family to the prospect of a lengthy trial, we will never know what precipitated his complete psychotic break which might have occurred sometime between his last deployment in Afghanistan and when he murdered his lover.
Instead, he will eventually be put in the same prison in which the Ken of the "Ken & Barbie" serial killers has resided for the past 15 years or so.
You'll remember the ire that Ontario victims of the crime had unleashed when Karla Homolka was released early from jail for good behavior and complete rehabiliation.
Why do I mention Homolka in the same breath as Russell WIlliams? Because both people may have suffered PTSD and other disorders of the mind prior to their short reign of terror in Ontario.
Now for the good news: not all psychotic breaks are permanent. Indeed, with time and a determined plan for recovery, it is possible to overcome whatever behavior and mental negativities may arise because of that temporary psychotic break.
That Williams shows remorse shows that he has regrets. Yet I feel Ottawa owes war veterans more support especially with regard to mental illness to prevent future tragedies to our veterans.
War is hell; please give peace a chance by supporting our veterans for Remembrance Day. Lest we forget...
