All as One (poem)

Between the spiritual and the material,
the former is full of spirit;
the latter, full of matter.
They who cling to either extreme
remain unaware that
both matter and spirit
are empty of substance,
and use reason to deny
the other's influence in their lives,
yet reason too is empty of substance.
Thus reason, spirit and matter
all have in common their emptiness,
and are all as one to the wise.
