- No fighting in front of me -- even though I don't use the big words like "financial" and "adultery", if I see you two fighting, it is traumatic. I may even wonder if I caused you two to fight.
- Be gentle and meek around me, and have patience. I am not emotionally ready for the real world. If I had face it too soon, I would have lost my sweet innocence.
- Don't lie to me if I ask you if you still love me. Be honest about the feelings that you love me, unconditionally, in spite of everything that happens before I reach puberty.
Otherwise, I'll grow up just like Daddy and Mummy, learning to lie about my life, not just to myself but to you and the world, because you didn't try to nurture love and kindness when I needed it the most.
