Unrest of the body through restless motion; unrest of the mind, through anxiety: both are signs of behavioral and mental negativities, which are part of the human condition.
Yet dance trains the body to use that unrest expressively, and music soothes the savage breast, replacing such negativities with calm serenity to make all agitation cease.
Thus, it makes sense to use both dance and music to soothe myself, both alone and in mixed company.
At my age, though, I find that there are social constraints placed on me to practice both in the privacy of my home or in the company of trusted friends.
