Imagine the flesh of someone you lust rotting away, turning into a rotting corpse, and decaying until all that's left is a skeleton of a human being.
Bring this to mind every time you lust for that person until you do not even think of the object of your desire, lest you conjure of that horrible vision of a person dying and rotting, and becoming bone.
I'm pretty sure that such an extreme meditation practice would ruin your libido for good. Indeed, it is a meditation practice for Buddhist monks and nuns. They who faithfully practice this meditation never experience sexual misconduct within a Buddhist monastery.
In a worst case scenario, this practice might be the Buddhist cure for sex addiction, except Westerners mistake meditation practice for religion & mdash; as opposed to Christianity, where a sinner may be shamed and made to feel guilty for natural sexual behavior, which purportedly causes psychological hang-ups and manufactures from one of out of every twenty-five church members a sociopath who might work his way up in the religious hierarchy.
A priest becomes a sociopath when he breaks his celibacy vows, and lies to his bishop. A bishop becomes a sociopath when he turns church bingo into a multimillion-dollar business. A Pope becomes a sociopath when he hides being a soldier in a war in his youth.
However, being gay does not stop a man from becoming a priest. It might cause him to fight for the rights of all living beings on this earth. It all depends on the man.
Perhaps this meditation could be modified for drug addiction: just imagine the worst-case scenario where you take your drugs in a homeless shelter and are prey to black boys speaking Haitian Creole.
Sure, like that's going to work.
If you believe in the fallacy that "all sociopaths are evil" when the truth is, only unsuccessful sociopaths are deemed evil by Western society when they get caught. Once caught, these people might be thrown under the bus by a few mainstream media journalists who promote a moral panic about sociopaths under the guise of responsible journalism.
Sometimes, karma is a bitch when you let lust control your life, be it for sex, drugs, and even money. Most of the time, we think the libido is normal and natural, and that repressive means of controlling it is tantamount to the abuse of a person's individual human rights.
It is not psychological abuse for Buddhist monks and nuns to practice this kind of meditation, because they do so willingly. Yet it would be abuse if such meditation practices were mandatory for unprepared people, even in a clinical setting.
This is why no Buddhist organization endorses such a practice, and rely only on the Five Precepts of the Buddhist code of ethics (abstain from killing, abstain from theft, avoid sexual misconduct, abstain from false speech, and abstain from consuming alcohol and drugs).
For this meditation practice is not for laypeople, and could potentially harm any Buddhist who practices it outside of a monastery. I do not endorse its practice, but mentioned it here to show how preposterous it would be to serve as the cure for lust.
It is safer for the Buddhist practitioner to practice the Five Precepts than to become a monk or nun in a Buddhist monastery. Indeed, it is harmless, provided the practitioner keep all the precepts and practice them diligently while repenting from minor infractions (lying, gossipping, and consuming alcohol and drugs).
Perhaps this explains the practice of Pure Land Buddhist practitioners who chant the Buddha's name (Nianfo or Nembutsu) to burn off the evil karma of past wrongful actions. In this way do they purify their mind. For this is a path of easy practice that helps them achieve peace of mind.
In my opinion, these diverse Buddhist practices of chanting and meditation are examples of sexual sublimation, and positive expressions of libido.
YMMV

A Dream of a Transgender, Gay-Friendly World (satire)
Angels of Change 2012 © GLAAD
I just woke up from a crazy dream where I feel sorry for a guy who writes a long story online, and I respond to the message thread as a "friend of the defendant."
Legal terms come about in this dream because the guy feels like he is being judged by others and is consistently histrionic in the thread.
Somewhere along the way, we meet and I am totally moved by his existence to give him ten dollars. We go to his haunt to celebrate, and along the way an Asian transvestite makes a joke about buying him a computer so he can learn English. I reply by quipping that it is now possible to learn English with an English accent.
It turns out that the guy's haunt is not accessible by normal means. You need help to get to an underground lair which looks like Starbucks. However, once there, I'm told "Your kind is not served here".
So rather than trying to fit in, I return to the surface.
At first glance, this dream appears to be a heteronormative, antihomosexual dream. Why am I assuming it is a gay dream? Why does the guy hang out in an underground Starbucks that is almost inaccessible? Why is almost everyone in the dream a guy?
What if this is a dream from a cis-male point of view about a transgender and gay-friendly world that exists only in my head?
If so, then I have a lot to learn about a wider variety of genderless male behavior, free of heteronormative conditioning. I thought for sure a start would be to question the dream because it is challenging my cis-male conditioning too.
Earlier on in the dream, I was considered to be "hostile to the witness" who I met to confirm that I am a friend of the defendant, being him. I can only guess that the reason why my brain decided to use legalese was to establish the storyline itself. Likely, this dream didn't start from the beginning.
There's a phrase that came up in this story but I forgot it because of having to think a lot to figure out this dream. My conclusion now is that this is a transgender dream from a cisgender point of view because in it, the witness / defendant goes underground to a Starbucks that is friendly to his kind while I am rejected for being cisgender.
The friendly banter between an Asian transvestite implies that I am more wealthy than other males in this dream, but does not establish my gender at all. For I could have been rejected from the underground coffee bar for either being cis-male or female or gender-neutral.
In any case, this is definitely a crazy dream because it challenges my cis-male programming. Even though this is probably not totally relevant, I took 2 grams of GABA the night before this dream. If this is what 2 grams does to my dreaming, then I'm definitely taking the same amount tonight because this dream was awesome.
For the record though, I reject any suggestion of this dream I had being anti-homosexual because I am able to think outside the box of being cis-male. Sure the coffee bar was underground and I was rejected from it, but it's more likely I was rejected for my appearance which I never check in a mirror in any of my dreams. This is why I am sticking to this dream world being transgender and gay-friendly. The bar has to be underground to make it harder for girls to get to -- which explains why the witness was a big strapping gentleman.
I'm also sure most of the men in this dream are Asian. The transvestite was Asian. So this might be considered a Buddhist limbo for the transgendered, a place where sexism still exists (if the gender of my character was female). My only question now is, why do I assume transgender people are hostile to women, gender-neutral and cis-males? Possibly because it is not a gender-neutral world.
Since the dream is seen through a cis-male filter, the gender-friendly coffee bar is underground. It makes no sense for that bar to reject cis-males, females and gender-neutral people. It makes more sense if my character was female to be rejected since everyone else in the dream was male. It cannot be assumed that my character is male, too.
Thus, this is actually a transgender world viewed through cis-male eyes. I'm not going to explain how I can conclude that my character is female, though.
I do know that the transvestite asking me to buy a computer for him is because he knows the witness.
In conclusion, I will point out that every man depicted in this dream including the barrista in the coffee bar is a reflection of my own inner psyche and the conclusion that my character in the dream is a female is thus confirmed as being the inner female that is in all men, but few men dare admit is in their core psyche for fear of being labelled gay. Maybe the legalese came out because our laws about transgendered people are so ambiguous or nonexistence but the laws about gay people are enacted in most Western nations.
In order for a world friendly to people, regardless of gender, people will have to embrace all colors of the gender rainbow, be it cis and trans, male and female, and even gender neutral.
If you think I am talking about a person's sexuality, then you are sorely mistaken. Gender has nothing to do with sex. It has more to do with transcending the gender polarity of male and female, for our current society is polarized along a gender-normative ideal of man and woman, where anything else has to fit as either a female or a male, least society become decadent.
The truth is, even gender ambiguity is normal. Therefore, gender ambiguity (being trans) is as normal as being a man or a woman. Only gender-normative zealots think otherwise. Indeed, if your naughty bits are ambiguous, then the zealots will perform corrective surgery before you're old enough to understand in Canada without any psychotherapy.

Legally and Politically, Pedophilia's about Money and Power
According to what I have seen, paedophilia was manufactured as a crime by the State by enacting laws to profit lawyers and relieve the apprehension of concerned parents.
It is related to the Canadian law which states that a father's daughter is his property until either age of consent or age of majority. So it's about money and power.
Lawyers profit from prosecuting this crime, and they get to manufacture a scenario of the power accused paedophiles have over their victims.
Even so, the perpetrator is rendered powerless once caught, and is labelled a sex offender.
People in authority are significantly challenged by social issues related to power and control. Thus I submit that a pedophile is actually rendered powerless due to his inability to find a mate and tries to regain control over his life in an inappropriate manner by exercising control over children who are powerless due to physical size and immaturity.
When you listen to one of these perverts or read their writings, you see evidence of obsessive views of children as sex objects. They are utterly incapable of feeling any compassion for their victims, and only see them as objects to be manipulated for their own pleasure.
Indeed, they are broken people, and it is likely possible that they are exacting revenge for past wrongs against them, possibly by their parents or closest care provider. There may even be a self-revulsion component involved.
Yet I don't doubt that a dose of MDMA could get them to see how terribly they wrong an innocent being, while kanna would relieve their depression much more effectively than the pharmaceutical roulette now forced on sex offenders. With intense therapy, even ibogaine would offer help.
Instead of trying these alternative options out, the DEA and its Canadian counterpart just daemonizes these drugs in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies.

The Root of All Evil is Still Lust for Money, not the Drive for Success
IMHO it is because the ages-old imperitive to be successful is conflicting with more ancient tradition to "don't make waves or cause family shame".
When once, people were respected and treated equitably, in the rush to succeed, people forsake family and friends for something transient (power, wealth).
Nobody wants to be self sufficient because most of us live in an urban setting, where our needs can be met either through hard work or HUD supplementation (if poor).
Yet the rural areas get the short end of the stick due to a complex variety of reasons, mainly due to the myth of the "redneck" mentality. Plus if a bunch of Asians moved into the rural areas in droves, there is a myth about plummetting property values, none of which materialized especially if you look at the influx of Hmong people into Minnesota.
Much of the poverty facing youth among the Hmong and the Blacks was precipitated by unfounded fear by the whites that both racial groups are "others" unworthy of equal rights, due both to culture and language differences in the case of Hmong.
So laws were abused to protect the economic rights of white people in Minneapolis, and certain specific cultural behaviors of both blacks and Hmong were unfairly criminalized. The resulting oppression only accelerated inequity and poverty.
This rationalization can also be generalized for America proper.
You may make your assumptions from all this or call BS, but it appears to follow a global trend too.
Rampant striving for success may have unwanted side effects and repercussions, including risk of poverty (for "have-nots") and continued inequities of increasing proportions (mainly due to overpopulation).
Drug abuse and recreational drug use are only side effects of what can be generalized as "urbanization". Indeed, it may be part of the checks and balances inherent in complex societies, and include such examples as crystal meth in rural America, the rise and fall of Amy Winehouse, and Wong Fei's decision to marry for love.
At the same time, this drive for success tends to blind people to what self sufficiency actually means i.e. actually buying land, and working a farm rather than viewing it all as investment.
IMHO the drive for success is not a root of all evil, but our lust for money is.
Therefore we should not discount acquiring some hippie ethics like recycling, having a truck garden, and raising livestock, even if it is just guinea pigs.
