Likewise, people who socially isolate themselves from other communities actually know nothing about the ocean of humanity that stretches around the world.
Just knowing my own ethnic community means I don't know jack about other ethnic minorities with whom I share similar stories of aversion, outright hatred, and other injustices which are all in common.
As long as we remain in our communities, and refuse to join in solidarity with other visible minorities, we are doing an injustice to the betterment of visible minorities, both in Canada and around the world.

Subway Pusher Admits to Hate Crime and Misdirected Bias
“I pushed a Muslim off the train tracks because I hate Hindus and Muslims. Ever since 2001 when they put down the Twin Towers I’ve been beating them up.” — Erika Menendez's reason for pushing Sunando Sen onto subway tracks at Flushing 7 in New York City.
My first reaction to Ms. Menendez's statement is "What? That kind of behavior got old when you graduate high school!"
This is another case of misdirected bias which this woman has been doing since 2001. Even though she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, her violence towards men who look like "Hindus and Muslims" verifies the misdirected bias phenomenon.
Her initial criminal charge in 2000 is related to a stolen credit card. However, evidence of her psychiatric disorder does not appear on her police time-line until 2005.
Although she has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, her erratic behavior is more consistent with her drug use (cocaine and marijuana). The escalation of violence combined with harassment suggest elements of anger and rage preceded her attack.
However, her condition deteriorated in 2005 when she went off her medication. In the recent case, the trigger appears to be conflict with her mother. This was back in February 2012. It is likely her violence and non-compliance with medication is due to either the manic phase of her disorder and/or recreational drug use.
Her reasoning for killing Sen indicates psychosis. Even though I sympathize with her psychiatric condition, I find her reason for killing Sen irrational and harmful to others.
Yet a closer look at what precedes each assault — first in April 2003, she scratches and slaps a 28-year old man and later in June 2003 she punches a 55-yr old man — along with the non-compliance with medication, it indicates misdirection of aggression and violence against her loved ones towards an innocent bystander who is male, targeting a racial group. In December she was arrested for cocaine possession.
In the case with the 28 yr old man, she assaulted him in her home. The case was dropped. But the case of the 55 yr old man being assaulted shows the typical signs of cocaine psychosis. She accused him of having sex with her mother, and of stealing jewelry from her in high school. After filing assault charges, and two restraining orders against her, the man never saw her again.
Here's the description of her first day in court: "She laughed and snickered so much during her court hearing last weekend that the judge admonished her. The attorney who represented her only for her arraignment said she acted the same way with him when he tried to speak with her. He had no further comment."
Mass media reports from the Wall Street Journal indicate that the defense lawyer who represented her in court at arraignment will not be handling her defense case, due to Ms Menendez's present state, which indicates either bipolar mania or, most likely, cocaine psychosis.
I really feel for the Menendez family, but their right not to make public comment to mass media indicates that the stigma of mental illness makes their privacy necessary. It also indicates that the Menendez family are afraid of public scrutiny due to the nature of Ms. Menendez's crime.
Ms Menendez's case also shows that her family may not have the resources to place her in a private psychiatric clinic.
Her non-compliance shows that she is in denial of her psychiatric condition, mainly due to the social stigma caused by her erratic and often violent behavior.
Since her diagnosis with bipolar disorder, her use of violence in committing her hate crimes indicates the possibility of recreational drug use. It also indicates that she strongly resents her diagnosis, as indicated by non-compliance of medication.
In light of Ms. Menendez's behavior before her arrest, she needs to be rediagnosed. The Wall Street Journal's news article makes no indication that this has been done but the Huffington Post indicates that a psychiatric evaluation has been requested and will be presented when court determines if she is fit to stand trial on January 14, 2013.
My synopsis regarding Menendez is, Hispanic woman kills South Asian man due to misdirected bias against South Asian and Middle Eastern men in wake of 9-11. Her psychiatric history indicates psychopathic escalation of violence. When she becomes manic, she goes off her medication and resorts to cocaine abuse.
Her past behavior suggests unresolved issues with fathers, brothers and male cousins. Thus, Ms Menendez could be cast as a victim of the patriarchy, since she may have been exposed to anti-Muslim propaganda without confounding information. Thus she fell for the logical fallacies inherent in such propaganda. However, she acted as a bully in reaction to hatred for Hindus and Muslims because the propaganda confirmed her misdirected bias — it is safer to hate Hindus and Muslims than to hate loved ones such as fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters since the former are outside the family group.
By spreading the propaganda of anti-Muslim factions among the right-wing politicians with the aim of unjustly daemonizing Muslims, mass media only sows the seed of hate crime in a young mind warped by decadent hedonism and unwilling to mature into a woman in control of her life.

In a related murder on the subway weeks earlier, Ki-Suck Han, 58, was pushed onto subway tracks by Naeem Davis. I bet mass media is going to suppress reporting on the enmity between the Korean community and Black community in the wake of the Rodney King riots. Visible Minority Saved Fate of Racist Whites
If it wasn't for the vocal objection of a visible minority, racist whites would still be accepted as the norm. So thank you Canada for enacting the Canadian Charter of Human Rights Act. Sadly though, the way it is written, even a Canadian municipality could use it to protect the majority from legal action by the visible minorities.
However, only the lawless trump justice by resorting to violence, regardless of the consequences such as Canadian crime bills that have the potential to turn your circle of friends on GooglePlus into "gangs".
Yet I am surprised that even the radical reactionaries among the Sikhs haven't retorted to me, when they spend so much time reacting to that radio talk show host who wasn't referring just to them a few years ago, and kept Immigration Canada at bay regarding the illegal immigrant they were rallying around.
Maybe poverty breeds anonymity. My net worth being in the red by almost a hundred C-notes helps me even more anonymous than Anonymous!
Despite the handful of East Asians in the news, I don't see Chinese reactionaries getting as much 300 second sound bytes on the news about those two murders of innocent South Asian women, and very very little from the inconspicuous Japanese - quite probably because mass media would dread the deluge of hate mail if other ethnic groups within the visible minority milieu expressed their free speech rights in a civil manner.
In my opinion, the most ridiculed of other minority groups would be the Christian rednecks amongst the NRA and possibly the reactionary Muslims, the hardliners who are this close to being criminals, but then just uttering an indirect death threat to anyone is criminal.
For a fatwa is not protected by free speech or by the right to freely practice a religious as one sees fit.
If a fatwa involves the death of the object of that fatwa, then whoever among the Muslim clerics supports it is offensive to God by putting the ideology of the holy war before God. Essentially, if a fatwa results in the death of the object of that fatwa, then it is akin to ritual sacrifice. This makes a mockery of God, because such a death is murder sanctioned by man yet excused as "the will of God".
When the will of God consists of devout men willing to kill for their God, this is proof that such men put first their ideology over their God.
For a man cannot serve two masters when it comes to religion.
While I am still at it, the above contentious logic is also reserved for well-meaning but possibly deluded, most likely misinformed and deliberately ignorant fundamentalists, e.g. abortion assassins who can't shoot straight, radical feminists who collaborate with Christian fundamentalists to close down adult stores and legislate pornography, gang members who have harmed thousands of people but have "found Jesus", and police officers going beyond the call of duty to serve and protect only to practice a form of State terrorism abusing people with "non-lethal force" weapons, sometimes with lethal results.
This is religious fascism, be it holy war, assassination of abortion doctors, the legislation of pornography, criminals who find Jesus in prison yet offered no mercy to their victims before prison, and tazer-happy cops being fronted by the company that makes such "non-lethal" weapons.
For fascism only markets violence, of which few participants are able to profit and in which few WWE veterans participate. It offers no social redeeming value and has no plan except to rob people of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Sadly though, few of my detractors are brave enough to register on Blogspot and rise above the usual web page vandalism i.e. spam posts with URLs pointing to scripts to convert unprotected computers into adbots for porn web links. Since I am not referring to the intelligentsia among my fans and critics — your intelligence will protect you from reacting emotionally to this jab at the mouth-breathing script kiddies — hopefully this will occasionally result in a comment.
Otherwise, I will retain this ridiculous delusion that I am talking to myself.
Though, as I wrote in a previous article, it's probably a side-effect of being Buddhist: I tend to pick my words carefully but end up subtly saying something important, or sometimes just inserting the main point in the bottom third of the article. That way, the reactionaries will go WTF and do what they do best — abreact — and thus fall on the swords they've made of their ego projections.
Depending the level of rhetoric and based on which response requires legal intervention, I can empower myself c/o the CCHRA.

Though my original plan was to one day move this content to another blog web service under my control and administration, GooglePlus fits this bill, but I don't have to move any content when I can share it with the world.
Given the totalitarian nature of the Internet, if I cannot rule the world, then I can start my own blog and write about my own!

American Recruiting Foreigners to Fight Their 'War on Terror'
Back in 2007, the Bush administration was recruiting non-citizens of America to help in his "War on Terrorism." The catch is, when they've served a day fighting for the US, their US citizenship will be
expedited.
So, this means if a visible minority, whether from Mexico, Jamaica, or the Middle East, serves in the US military even one day, then he will be rewarded with citizenship in the US.
I foresee a growing army of visible minorities willing to fight terrorism, just to be become an foreign-born American. Though, I agree with the article regarding conscription of illegal immigrants who can hack the often rigourous training of would-be soldiers.
Does Obama's adminstration still recruit visible minorities from friendly Western countries and Eastern allies?
The reality of the power of visible minorities is hitting white racists even south of the border where the world's most respected news magazine - The Economist of London - reported in its February 3 issue that a desperate U.S. Army is bending over backwards to recruit foreigners.
And we are not talking about white guys here - but about non-white guys. As the magazine reported: "Today, according to the most recent statistics, there are roughly 30,000 non-citizens on active duty and another 11,000 in the reserves. They come from more than 200 countries, with notable contingents from Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and El Salvador. Several thousand are deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan."
The article spoke of the clear benefits of recruiting non-citizens, noting, among other things: "Some non-citizens come equipped with useful languages. It takes over a year to teach a soldier Arabic, Pashto, or Dari from scratch. Native speakers can be deployed much more quickly."
To lure these foreigners into the army, President George Bush issued an executive order that made them eligible to apply for expedited citizenship after serving ONE DAY on active duty.
Here's another interesting fact the magazine brought out: "The armed forces have tried to bridge the language and culture gaps that can thwart recruitment. During last year's World Cup, for example, the army advertised on Arab Radio and Television."
In fact, the Americans are so desperate that Max Boot of the Council on Foreign Relations has proposed that they recruit illegal immigrants and foreign citizens overseas.
