In America, productivity is measured by the lengths the average joe goes to earn $5.60 an hour.
A man who works 72 hours / week @ $5.60 but effectively nets after taxes and expenses $1.12 an hour only gets $80.64 a week.
This works out to $4032 a year or $336 of money a month to spend on luxuries, possibly most of it going to rent, smokes, the occasional recreational drug, and other sundries.
He would still be considered a working poor stiff, even if he invested $1200 a year in a good RRSP, if they let him invest $100 a month.
It appears to me that a person would have to give up drinking, and switch to medical marijuana mixed with tobacco to make his own cigarettes to save money in that arena.
I am unsure if this can be done for less than $100 a month.
As well, I do not know how many low income rentals could be found in America for $126 or less a month.
OTOH, for $150 a month it is possible to invest strongly in medical marijuana and become a cannabis activist. Hopefully, the rest of your money could be used wisely for a cannabis-friendly lawyer who'd work pro bono, just to insulate you from DEA oppression. ;)
In Canada, with BC having a minimum wage of $8.50/hr and a youth wage of $6/hr, it may be easier to meet one's financial goal whilst seemingly appearing hardly working!

High-THC Cannabis The Real Problem
I am a firm believer that, while stoned, I - like Fitz Hugh Ludlow - understands more fully “the soul’s capacity for a broader being, deeper insight, grander views of Beauty, Truth and Good" than I now gain through the chinks of my cell i.e. the six senses... of sight, hearing, touch, smelling, tasting and thought (mind).
Indeed, I believe that at the same time, I am rendered delusional by THC, and hallucinate that I am more creative while "high" on the cannaboids precisely because of the high THC levels in marijuana.
What I am then suggesting is, that is the CBD which is the creative muse, NOT THC!
Proof of this is that nobody who's rendered anxious and near-psychotic while under the influence THC is truly creative.
For it is the sedative powers of CBD which cures us of THC's ability to incapacitate us with hallucinations.
If we did not have the calming, Zen-like qualities of CBD to stabilize the pseudo-schizophrenic reaction to THC, our minds would be blown like a series of acid trips, evolving from benign to bad.
As well, we'd be too incapacitated by anxiety and flashbacks to actually create.
And all it takes is one (1) deep puff of the ganja to begin this rocky road to abuse.
Even so, I am not saying marijuana is bad for you; what I am saying is that I am calling THC a one-way ticket to Hell.
For it is CBD which will bring you back from your own self-created Hell.
Finally I will urge that we ban high-THC marijuana and grow only strains which have equal parts of CBD and THC, for the good of us all.

In Moderation Marijuana Beats Alcohol
420 beats alcohol. Here's how:
Alcohol, when consumed during binge drinking - the pastime of today's youth - can lead to violence. It is also a dangerous gateway drug, like tobacco!
Pot, when consumed in moderate amounts - two puffs - leads to the typical stoned feeling with momentary lapses of consciousness.
Only in people who associate violence with getting drunk or stoned, and binge drink and/or smoke too much pot, may become violent.
Please pass it on! Puff puff!

Two Puffs Did It for Me
BC Bud has to be one of the highest sources of 9-THC. Though I've yet to manufacture my own 11-THC by buying and eating a hash brownie, that may be on my list of to-do marijuana experiences.
For now, let me tell you about my recent pot experience: I sucked two puffs two times somewhere in the armpit of Surrey, Newton.
After about an hour of feeling intoxicated, I got let off at the Newton Exchange. Then I climbed aboard the 324 to Surrey Central Exchange.
What a busride! I had no clue where I was for most of the trip, but managed to get let off at 132nd Street and 104th Avenue.
My walk home was uneventful.
When I arrived home, I promptly went to bed, mainly because I didn't feel like sitting still on the computer, trying to thread thoughts into something comprehensible.
About three hours ago, I finally got out of bed. For about five hours in bed, I was probably sober. Though I based my sobriety on the ability to have an erection, I didn't notice a change until the following morning, possibly around 10 AM. :P
However, the best thing that I've experienced was as I was sobering up the night before, feeling calm and without any racing thoughts indicative of hypomania.
Yes, I experienced no psychosis, not even anxiety.
Even so, I appear to be a "pussy" when it comes to pot, as it took two puffs to render me stoned.
Kudoes to my best friend, M, her friend D. and N. This is fucking awesome!
