You Failed, DEA! (satire)

Recent news that the War on Drugs is a dismal failure brought a smile to my face.

To the DEA and the RCMP in Canada: "I told you so." Your anti-cannabis agenda was never about eradicating a dangerous drug, and you know it. It was about spreading propaganda and disinformation to make it look like you were saving society from the "devil weed." In the process, you demonized pot smokers and treated some of them as though they were major drug fiends who would become like Justin Bourque.

The truth is, Bourque — and the celebrity Amanda Bynes — are rare cases of THC psychosis caused by the intricate interaction between THC and stress on the human mind, and would clear up had the person just moderated their THC intake.

In short, "less is more" as in "less pot results in more control over stress in one's life." High consumption of marijuana never results in less stress since it is a fallacy to assume THC cures stress. What it does is chill you the fuck out, but beyond a certain level of consumption that calmness leads to anxiety, and later insomnia, mania and even psychosis.

IMO this is why the hard core pot advocates will disagree with me on this. They smoke so much the mania that THC causes in high doses prevents them from understanding that high THC consumption will lead to more anxiety and might spiral out of control.

Yet one symptom of psychosis is a state of constant denial, because it is easier to deny the truth than to give up one's current grasp on reality. If we let go of our preconceived notions of reality, then we might learn something deep and meaningful about reality itself.

However, you DEA and you RCMP have failed in stopping the War on Drugs. Your only reason for continuing the war is to look like a hero and hoodwink Americans and Canadians.

In fact, by establishing yourself in Canada, you are contributing to the problem rather than solving it.

I'm sure the only reason the DEA moved to Vancouver and Toronto was to pressure PM Harper to introduce minimum sentences on marijuana possession and related nonsense.

I also suspect that certain gangs in BC formed because the strategy of placing key members of teen gangs in the same prison and youth remand centres without keeping adequate checks and balances due to the fact that youth corrections personnel have little training in self defense against violent teenaged gang members.

In short, the shortcomings of BC youth corrections combined with more violence teenagers who have been groomed to become narcissistic led to even more violent youth gangs.

As well, it is a well known fact that families were broken up over marijuana charges, due to the propaganda against cannabis.

Hot Chocolate is more mellow than cannabis!

It's the other xanthines in it other than the caffeine, namely theobroma and theophylline, that contribute to hot chocolate drinks. The latter is a diuretic with minimal caffeine like effects while theobroma relaxes air passages, which makes it good for asthma. It also has a slight sedative property especially with loads of sugar.

Though the best to get is cacoa or dark chocolate. Bitter chocolate is out because it's so bitter it makes me sneeze, just as high alcohol drinks are so powerful they make me sneeze too.

As well, chocolate drinks are legal.

Perhaps this is why the Arabs banned coffee but still consumed chocolate. It also may explain Turkish confections using chocolate.

It even explains why alcoholic love chocolate, since it can be psychologically addictive. It is so addictive that on St Valentine's Day, chocolate is the gift of choice.

However, nobody is going to ban chocolate because the chocolate cartel claims that it is safe when consumed in moderation.

Legalize Cannabis! (satire)

Am I for legalization of some drugs? Yes.

Which ones?

Marijuana, because it is less harmful than cigarettes; entheogens such as LSD and ibogaine, for drug rehabilitation which lasts; MDMA, which in pure form is safer than methamphetamines and other stimulants, though not as safe as caffeine; Salvia, which is a kappa opioid agonist with some disassociative properties, but is the only carbohydrate with mild and moderately brief hallucinogenic properties -- mainly for entheogenic purposes involving rehabilitation from other drugs; and two banned drugs which never got to market because the State fears pro-social drugs which are safer than alcohol and tobacco, because no one in power wants to lose profits and sales, and also because sociability is supposed to be learned, not medicated.

The last two drugs never got out of a lab setting, because today's State is afraid of a pro-social drug which is safer than alcohol and tobacco. Alcohol and tobacco companies would lose profit if the government had a safer alternative to alcohol and tobacco such as pagoclone.

Note that I am promoting the legalization of some drugs for medicinal use. I do not endorse the recreational use of any drugs mentioned previously, because it involves drugs which are currently being manufactured illegally.

I do not include marijuana manufactured by State-sponsored industry such as the crappy medicinal marijuana (MM) as it is not being produced in a manner which enhances its medicinal properties.

Sativex consists of cannabinoids from a blend of marijuana, and is superior to gov't-approved MM. But it is only approved for pain by cancer victims, because no doctor would prescribe it off label. That'd be illegal.

However, a variant of Sativex could be recommended for psychoses caused by mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, if they moderated the THC and raised the CBD level a tad.

CBD is a natural sedative, the use of which is known to demonstrate marked changes in schizophrenics, whereas THC consistently may cause psychoses, sometimes requiring sedation by benzodiazepines such as Ativan.

It is for political reasons that cannabis is illegal in Canada, due to the fear-mongering about psychosis and drug-induced schizophrenia in a gross attempt of social control by the State of mostly-harmless pot smokers.

Marijuana consumption may cause anxiety among certain users which might appear as psychosis and their behavior may be moderated by THC, resulting in clinical observation of schizophrenic-like behavior. However, such behavior is not permanent and thus is not consistent with schizophrenia.

In most cases of recreational use, marijuana is safer than alcohol and prescribed psychotropic medication used to control behavior associated with psychosis arising from the purported drug-induced schizophrenia. Indeed, chronic users of pot do not experience psychosis or schizophrenia. Their behavior can be explained as acute and specific to recent marijuana use.

Yet stricter cannabis laws criminalizes behavior among a small proportion of the People (the medical marijuana growers) due to an unfounded fear by the State of pot smokers of psychosis and associated behavior.

Indeed, the marijuana section of the narcotics control act does nothing to protect recreational drug users from dealers, but actually reduces their access to a safe method of distribution via medical marijuana growers, who now cannot produce marijuana legally.

I also object to the assumption by the police of the fallacy that all marijuana grow-ops are the work of drug gangs. This character assassination is used to criminalize medical marijuana grow-ops that are safe and known to be "mom & pop" operations.

As well, the marijuana laws promote the assumption that all grow-ops are the work of gangs.

While marijuana legalization is slowly happening in the US, all across Canada, marijuana legalization is far from becoming a reality, due to its heavily politicized nature.

Even so, the legalization of marijuana will not result in more cases of drug-induced schizophrenia since that diagnosis is sometimes used to profit the psychiatry industry. Considering its role in social control, this scare tactic regarding regular consumption of marijuana from an early age may be used by the State to control the drug-seeking behavior of young mothers and other cannabis users.

Therefore, the marijuana laws appear to be designed to raise drug crime with increased risk of death for gang members. On the other hand, the growth of marijuana dispensaries is a much needed harm reduction strategy which should not be criminalized as "illegal distribution" of marijuana.

State control of marijuana potentially places more people at risk than legalization.

Legalize cannabis now!

An Open Letter to Prime Minister of Canada (satire)

To the Honorable Stephen Harper, Primie Minister of Canada and representative of Parliament, the Prime Minister's Office and all the taxpayers of the Dominion of Canada

You asked the Canadian taxpayers to bail out the Canadian auto industry, because its investors refused to pay more taxes and because its CEOs refused to put a ceiling on their salaries.

You secretly bailed out the banking industry for exactly the same reasons but denied it was a bailout.

Instead, you let these same CEOs and investors invent the lie that it was union wages that broke the back of Big Business in Canada, despite the enormous profits which leave the country to hide behind Grand Cayman and Swiss tax laws.

If Canada has a national debt, then it is not because labour is expensive. Rather, it is because Big Business in Canada refuses to put a ceiling on corporate executive salaries and has threatened to leave Canada should Ottawa raise corporate taxes even by 1%.

In my rhetoric, I will not use math to decry corporate greed is actually ruining the country. For math has been used to justify corporate salaries and balancing the budget. It has even been used to propose an American solution to Ottawa's fiscal woes, woes which are solely because of corporate greed and Big Business' ability to corrupt Canadian politics.

Instead, I present this open letter to you, Mr Harper.

What are you going to do about the immoral act of Big Business, which collects more taxpayers' money to pay its CEOs salaries than Canada's provinces have paid to legitimate people on welfare? In fact, CEOs get money to invest in putting a roof over their business. Yet most of those CEOs decry welfare moms despite the fact that most single mothers are more deserving of provincial benefits than CEOs are of taxpayers' money.

Yes, I know that part of business profits also contribute to CEO salaries. However, raising such salaries help bankrupt Big Business because they are often a bigger expense than workers' wages.

In short, the real reason why we have a huge national debt is because your salary and the salary of all your ministers and the PMO is a bigger expense than the salaries of your civil servants. Yes, I know the latter's salaries put together may be greater than you and your cronies are getting but your current senator scandal devalues civil servants' salaries.

Why are the taxpayers now having to cover senators' expenses?

I'm not proposing a solution to this problem because it cannot be fixed without more problems arising. Instead, I propose the following should be done because it is the right thing to do:

1) Continue funding of the Vancouver Onsite project. Your rhetoric in Parliament and that of your colleagues show that the elitism of plutocrats is the main reason for continuing the oppression of the poor, many of whom are drug users and/or homeless.

2) Dissolve the Narcotics Control Act. The war on drugs on Canada has only become another attack on the taxpayers by supporting immoral actions such as Green Teams and changes to the Canadian Criminal Code which almost makes entrapment legal.

According to the changes to the act regarding marijuana, if two or more friends and I were to start a pot dispensary, then the law deems us a "gang" and our distribution of medical marijuana as "drug trafficking" with a minimum fine of $1000 and at least 2 years in jail, even if we encourage non-violence and comply with provincial law.

3) Legalize prostitution. This will stop criminals from oppressing girls and women. You cannot legalize drugs without considering making prostitution legal. This too is harm reduction in action. I would rather a prostitute lower her hourly wage to under $50 a hour and get free medical checkup for STDs than continue the oppression of sex workers by letting them ensure another day of deplorable working conditions. In fact, Canadian provincial government should apply harm reduction to prostitution.

Suggestions 2 and 3 are my solution to the national debt. It would reduce drug crime. It would reduce crime related to prostitution.

Taxes collected from medical marijuana sales can go to marijuana rehabilitation programs and pay for pharmaceuticals such as mirtazapine which is a better sedative than THC or even the benzodiazepines, except for people allergic to anti-histamines. In those rare cases, I have to ask them, "Why would you even use cannabis when inhaling too much might kill you?"

Taxes collected from prostitution can fund medical care for them and even supply the wages to the needed security guards to provide protection from sexual deviants and psychopaths. As well, it would be a good idea to put the cannabis dispensaries within range of a brothel since the prices would be so affordable, it'd be like a bank robbery if a criminal robs the dispensary and like rape if a sexual psychopath tries to harm a prostitute.

As well, you need to listen to experts on psychopaths and sociopaths and implement their recommendations. You also need to pay close attention to pundits who decry character disturbances and narcissism. Then take a closer look in the mirror and get the senators and Parliament help now!

Sincerely,

A Canadian taxpayer, just like everyone else

Hash Brownies Dangers Overblown

The worst that could happen after overconsumption of hash brownies is you won't have enough $$ to pay what the hooker wants. Then you will wake up a day later, and slowly realize that you offered to pay your mom money for sex. Sometimes during the past 24 hours, you both were busted for miscellaneous drug charges i.e. the cops could smell all those brownies you ate. Oh, and you hallucinated the "I paid my mom for sex" part!

Ok this is hyperbole. The imaginary 'you' I refer to is not the gentle reader.

My attempt to make eating hash brownies seem as awful as paying for sex is the combination of inadequate rest and the feeling that 420 day in Vancouver is getting too big for its locale.

Hardly Working

In America, productivity is measured by the lengths the average joe goes to earn $5.60 an hour.

A man who works 72 hours / week @ $5.60 but effectively nets after taxes and expenses $1.12 an hour only gets $80.64 a week.

This works out to $4032 a year or $336 of money a month to spend on luxuries, possibly most of it going to rent, smokes, the occasional recreational drug, and other sundries.

He would still be considered a working poor stiff, even if he invested $1200 a year in a good RRSP, if they let him invest $100 a month.

It appears to me that a person would have to give up drinking, and switch to medical marijuana mixed with tobacco to make his own cigarettes to save money in that arena.

I am unsure if this can be done for less than $100 a month.

As well, I do not know how many low income rentals could be found in America for $126 or less a month.

OTOH, for $150 a month it is possible to invest strongly in medical marijuana and become a cannabis activist. Hopefully, the rest of your money could be used wisely for a cannabis-friendly lawyer who'd work pro bono, just to insulate you from DEA oppression. ;)

In Canada, with BC having a minimum wage of $8.50/hr and a youth wage of $6/hr, it may be easier to meet one's financial goal whilst seemingly appearing hardly working!

A Reflection on the Endocannaboid System

In this post, I will be briefly discussing cannabidiol (CBD) and THC, first describing CBD and contrasting its effects with that of THC. Then I will mention the new pain reliever Sativex as an example of what medical marijuana can provide without having the risks associated with smoking it.

After that, I will explain that marijuana with both CBD and THC in it are more beneficial than marijuana with high amounts of THC.

Finally I will conclude with a short discussion of wild salmon oil, its benefit for depression and explain why by discussing Omega-3 oil, the two essential fatty acids in them, and the endocannabinoid system.

CBD in cannabis may prevent the potential of psychosis which THC may cause in susceptible people who smoke it. Initial side effects of THC include fear, anxiety, and introvertive anhedonia.

CBD is what gives the cannabis smoker the headache when smoking the hemp variant of marijuana, which has a higher proportion of CBD and very little THC.

It also has other useful properties as antidepressant and pain reliever.

For example: the new pain reliever Sativex, which is applied as a mouth spray, has both CBD and THC in it.1

Sativex is only available by prescription to cancer patients for pain, and to MS patients with nerve pain, spasticity, overactive bladder and other symptoms.

In other research, it turns out that marijuana with both CBD and THC in it are of the most benefit to a cannabis user.

According to the British Journal of Psychiatry, a study was done comparing three groups: non-users, cannabis users with THC detected and cannabis users with both THC and CBD detected.

The THC users demonstrated a much higher rate of unusual experiences with marijuana than the other two groups.

In contrast, the THC-CBD users had "much lower introvertive anhedonia (a feeling of emptiness that makes one want to hide away) scores than the Δ9-THC only group and non-cannabis user group."2

As well, I have found that moderate doses of wild salmon oil in capsule form relieve mood swings in depression. The probable reason for this is related to the fact that salmon oil contains a lot of omega-3 oil3 of which two essential fatty acid have useful healthy benefits to the human body, especially the brain: DHA and EPA. They are metabolized into endocannabinoids for use in the body's endocannabinoid system, a group of neuromodulatory lipids and their receptors involved in many physiological processes including appetite, pain-sensation, mood, and memory.4

Since THC causes transient psychosis i.e. a temporary break from reality which is reversed by using less marijuana, the trend towards cannabis containing high-THC has risks to a user's mental health due to chronic use.

In contrast, strains of marijuana with a balanced blend of CBD and THC are safer for moderate use.

Thus my research so far proves my "less is more" philosophy towards all forms of neuropsychopharmaceuticals, including alcohol and marijuana.

With moderate consumption of fish and regular supplementation of wild salmon oil and a healthy diet, it is possible to keep the endocannaboid system working properly. Finally, I would like to state that a well nourished brain really only needs a dose of cannabis on rare occasions.

High-THC Cannabis The Real Problem

I am a firm believer that, while stoned, I - like Fitz Hugh Ludlow - understands more fully “the soul’s capacity for a broader being, deeper insight, grander views of Beauty, Truth and Good" than I now gain through the chinks of my cell i.e. the six senses... of sight, hearing, touch, smelling, tasting and thought (mind).

Indeed, I believe that at the same time, I am rendered delusional by THC, and hallucinate that I am more creative while "high" on the cannaboids precisely because of the high THC levels in marijuana.

What I am then suggesting is, that is the CBD which is the creative muse, NOT THC!

Proof of this is that nobody who's rendered anxious and near-psychotic while under the influence THC is truly creative.

For it is the sedative powers of CBD which cures us of THC's ability to incapacitate us with hallucinations.

If we did not have the calming, Zen-like qualities of CBD to stabilize the pseudo-schizophrenic reaction to THC, our minds would be blown like a series of acid trips, evolving from benign to bad.

As well, we'd be too incapacitated by anxiety and flashbacks to actually create.

And all it takes is one (1) deep puff of the ganja to begin this rocky road to abuse.

Even so, I am not saying marijuana is bad for you; what I am saying is that I am calling THC a one-way ticket to Hell.

For it is CBD which will bring you back from your own self-created Hell.

Finally I will urge that we ban high-THC marijuana and grow only strains which have equal parts of CBD and THC, for the good of us all.

Mind Blowing Pot Leads to Reduced Use

According to research published in the journal Addiction, "First, the use of cannabis and rates of psychotic symptoms were related to each other, independently of observed/non-observed fixed covariates and observed time dynamic factors (Table 2). Secondly, the results of structural equation modelling suggest that the direction of causation is that the use of cannabis leads to increases in levels of psychotic symptoms rather than psychotic symptoms increasing the use of cannabis. Indeed, there is a suggestion from the model results that increases in psychotic symptoms may inhibit the use of cannabis."

Source: Fergusson, David M., John Horwood & Elizabeth M. Ridder, "Tests of Causal Linkages Between Cannabis Use and Psychotic Symptoms," Addiction, Vol. 100, No. 3, March 2005, p. 363.

What this means is, people who blow their minds on high quality pot stop using.

In short, their psychosis leads to them quitting pot.

Compare this to crack and meth addicts who get obsessed about getting high, and whose psychosis leads them to commit crimes to support their habits.

Pot users tend to learn to moderate their consumption.

This is why there are only 2.5% pot users worldwide.

Why Marijuana is Still Criminalized In Canada

According to Canadian mass media, it may appear that the only reason marijuana is kept illegal is so that grow-ops can pop up in suburban neighbourhoods for concerned citizens to find and report to the police, all to justify the "war on Drugs" mentality.

For the Canadian national drug policy criminalizes marijuana manufacture and limits the amount a person can possess before possession charges may be applied.

By making illegal the possession of marijuana and by criminalizing its manufacture, Canada can justify a war-on-drugs mentality with stronger laws regarding marijuana.

In essence, the law makes marijuana valuable to criminals who then can create demand.

Grow-ops flourish specifically because marijuana is illegal. If it were legal and regulated by government, illegal grow-ops would case to exist.

Consequently, if marijuana were legal, then the danger associated with manufacture would be eliminated.

Between 1999 and 2003, the decriminalization of marijuana was debated in Ottawa.

Because of strong pressure by the US, much of the recommendations made by Canadian senators were quietly ignored by Ottawa.

Additionally, the national Green Team was too lucrative for the RCMP to agree to changes in the law that would impact their public service.

Thus, criminalizing marijuana profits both the criminals and the police.

And that's what makes marijuana dangerous, not the plant itself.

Should Governments Legalize and Tax Marijuana?

The war on drugs is an expensive battle, as a great deal of resources go into catching those who buy or sell illegal drugs on the black market, prosecuting them in court, and housing them in jail. These costs seem particularly exorbitant when dealing with the drug marijuana, as it is widely used, and is likely no more harmful than currently legal drugs such as tobacco and alcohol. There's another cost to the war on drugs, however, which is the revenue lost by governments who cannot collect taxes on illegal drugs. In a recent study for the Fraser Institute, Economist Stephen T. Easton attempted to calculate how much tax revenue the Canadian government could gain by legalizing marijuana.

Legalization of marijuana would bring tax dollars of $2 billion to Canada. The only benefit of marijuana criminalization would be to the underground economy, of which Canada is contributing to.

Yes, the Canadian government is responsible for crime gangs deriving profits from illegal grow-op across Canada by keeping cannabis criminalized.

After all, the government keeps the herb illegal.

Thus, it is because of the law that marijuana is a dangerous drug, not because of the drug itself.

THE GREAT MARIJUANA CONSPIRACY

INTRODUCTION:

Marijuana is the anti-drug campaigners' whipping boy. Is marijuana truly the gateway to hard drugs? Or, is its inclusion in most international drug laws and conventions a means by which marijuana remains associated with dangerous drugs and substances? This article will trace the history of marijuana and the law.

WHY MARIJUANA WAS CRIMINALIZED IN 1937

The reason for marijuana being criminalized in 1937 was to prevent people in the hemp industry from becoming wealthy. Quite obviously, people representing forestry, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries feared the enormous competition from the infant hemp industry. So they conspired to kill it by taxing marijuana. Later, marijuana was criminalized through various drug laws and conventions around the world.

THE ANSLINGER-MELLON CONNECTION

One man who first spread myths about marijuana is Harry J. Anslinger, who was appointed director of the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (predecessor of the Drug Enforcement Agency -DEA- of today). He was a man who hated jazz music and tried to get jazz musicians herded up into prison for smoking the sacred herb. The time dilation effect of THC probably helped introduce extra beats into jazz music. But Anslinger didn't like jazz and he hated marijuana even more. At first, Anslinger declared marijuana caused users to go crazy and commit violent acts. As a result of his testimony, persons who used pot could use the insanity defense to get a less charge to murder. Later on, after doctors testified at a second hearing regarding marijuana, Anslinger recanted his earlier testimony, conceding the sacred herb probably didn't cause insanity or violent behavior, but added that it could lead to opium use. This is how the gateway myth originated.

In 1931, Anslinger got his job at the Bureau of Narcotics at the recommendation of a man named Mellon, who happened to be his wife's uncle. Mellon, also director of the Mellon Bank, was U.S. Secretary of the Treasury. He associated with other wealthy men such as William R. Hearst, Sr. and the DuPont brothers. Hearst owned a chain of newspapers across the U.S. as well as a large lumber company. The DuPont family had just patented a paper making process using wood pulp some years earlier. As well, they had a new invention, a kind of synthetic cotton called nylon.

HEMP INDUSTRY BUSTS; ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO INDUSTRIES BOOM

Unfortunately, the infant hemp industry seemed to threaten these rich men's monopoly in the pulp and paper industry. In fact, in 1937, Popular Science predicted that hemp would become a billion dollar industry. With the passing of the Marijuana Tax Act, the industry was suppressed, only to surface during World War II when America's main supply of manila hemp was cut off after Japan occupied the Philippines.

Since then, marijuana has endured a smear campaign originally instigated by Hearst's newspapers and imitated by other newspaper chains around the world. After hemp was banned in 1938, DuPont came out with nylon. It licensed out the paper making process to Hearst so that wood-pulp could be easily made into cheap paper. Meanwhile, the anti-pot propaganda demonized marijuana whilst the alcohol and tobacco companies enjoyed wide advertising in the newspapers and on TV, especially in the post-war boom that followed the war.

While propaganda was calling cannabis the great corrupter of youth, alcohol consumption was leading to emotional and physical abuse in the home as well as death. Alcoholism became the number two cause of death, after lung cancer, which research eventually showed tobacco consumption as the main culprit. So much for those advertisements in the magazines, newspapers and on TV.

TODAY ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO USE DOWN BUT POT USE UP

Today, both alcohol and tobacco consumption is dropping, due to education about the dangers of their use. Marijuana consumption peaked about twelve years ago, but is now on the rise, especially among today's youth. This is in spite of anti-pot propaganda. New studies have completely overturned the gateway myth surrounding marijuana and indicate that the sacred herb is less harmful than alcohol.

Yet, the news media would rather not publish such information, for fear of advocating marijuana use. Instead, it continues to publish anti-drug propaganda, calling it drug abuse education necessary to warn people of the dangers of drug abuse. Such education, no matter how well intentioned, will not prevent addiction, simply because until someone actually uses a controlled substance, it is difficult to determine just who will become addicted to a dangerous drug. There are indications that drug abusers fall into two classes of users: the thrill seeker, and the person with low self-esteem, plagued by fears and worries. Anti-drug propaganda so far has led to increases in experimental use about today's youth. Thus such education as it is now taught leave much to be desired.

Quite possibly, the best position of the newsmedia is to remain mum about the matter since its reporting is peripheral and not an in-depth analysis of drug abuse.

THE MARIJUANA CONSPIRACY TODAY

Today's marijuana conspiracy revolves around a UN convention on drug policy signed by a few member nations of the UN in 1961. Most signing nations tend to claim that they must honor the convention, despite provisions within that allow them to opt out of it. The real reason most countries keep marijuana illegal is due to American pressure rather than honoring a UN convention that is woefully out of date.

A possible reason why the U.S. seeks to control international drug policy may have to do with the economic potential cannabis hemp represents. A single nation with the right tools and the land can grow hemp and supply raw material for paper making and textiles, as well as replacements and substitutes for petrochemicals. Economic sustainability is possible with hemp more so than with trees. Hemp produces 4.3 times more pulp fiber per hectare. Hemp paper products can be recycled seven times while paper made from wood-pulp can only be recycled three times. Hemp seed protein is very nutritious. Fiberboard made from hemp fiber is more stronger than that made of wood-chips. Thus, a cannabis hemp industry can revitalize any country that starts one up, if the capital is there.

One problem with this scenario is marijuana. If cannabis hemp is legalized, then marijuana would be too. This could affect the price of marijuana, perhaps causing the price to drop to less than 20 percent of its current level. The drug trafficking industry around marijuana could collapse if it were legalized. Lost income from this black market could force organized crime to abandon marijuana to independent growers not motivated by profit. As well, secret organizations depending on the illegal drug trade would lose valuable income from marijuana, were it to be legalized.

This is why the DEA demands the cannabis hemp industry develop a low-THC strain, despite the fact that after about four generations, cannabis will produce higher contents of THC. Keeping marijuana illegal not only profits organized crime; it also profits the government. If Whitewater is anything, if Mena Arkansas really let cocaine into the U.S., and if Montana is a drug trafficking conduit, then surely the U.S. government is probably profiting from the illegal marijuana trafficking business too.

IS THERE A CANADIAN MARIJUANA CONSPIRACY?

Yes! But this conspiracy isn't as corrupt as the one in the U.S. It's the reason why, after months of undercover work, the RCMP in Vancouver only raided two independent marijuana operations in late January 1996. Meanwhile, the major marijuana drug lord continued business without interruption. He can afford to remain in business, since "Mr.Big" has been in operation since 1966 and is probably one of the richest men in B.C. While it is uncertain if a well-known biker gang that established itself in B.C. in Nanaimo, the Vancouver East End and White Rock on July 3, 1983 is connected with "Mr.Big", this biker gang's involvement in marijuana predates its arrival in B.C.

CONCLUSION: THE EFFECT OF LEGALIZATION ON THE POT CONSPIRACY

Marijuana legalization which comes part and parcel with cannabis hemp legalization would not severely impair cultivation of cannabis for drug use. While the hemp industry itself would have to establish itself after 73 years of suppression, even legalized marijuana would not result in more than a reduction from a torrent of hard drugs such as cocaine and heroin to a trickle of hard earned cash. "Mr.Big" could probably declare his marijuana income with impunity and not have to trade his pot for cocaine, heroin or U.S. cash. Taxes on marijuana sales could fund not only restitution to victims of 73 years of cultural genocide on the Canadian marijuana culture, it could also help subsidize the growing hemp industry.

Twenty million hectares of Canadian farmland could see $15 billion of hemp fiber. Marijuana even at $1 per gram could be worth $6 million (at 6 kilotonnes per hectare). Even if 1 million hectares of B.C. cropland could be used, then that would result in over $5 trillion of marijuana. Either way, cannabis hemp could sustain a viable industry yearly. Wood is only sustainable in terms of centuries. Eventually, cannabis hemp could augment pulp mills with even more fiber. Pulp mills could be re-opened once cannabis hemp is legalized and goes into full production.

In the end, cannabis hemp legalization could change the world economy drastically. This might be why governments around the world are reluctant to legalize cannabis hemp. The legalization of hemp could result in a few billionaires coming from political backgrounds who could threaten the status quo of today's billionaires. Cannabis legalization is a threat to the New World Order because it represents a green industry that could help a nation to abandon its dependence on a petroleum-based society that supplies the pharmaceutical and plastics industries. Hemp legalization could change world economy at a rate faster than any secret society of financial capitalists could keep up.

In effect, it could strengthen each nation, making each one sovereign. And this, more than anything is what the financial capitalists fear the most. For this reason alone is why marijuana remains illegal under the drug laws of most countries of the world. While the anti-drug proponents declare marijuana is dangerous because it is a gateway drug, this is only a distraction from the true reason.

Cannabis hemp could not only revitalize the world economy, it could liberate each country of the world!

If you truly want to liberate the world from a petroleum-based society, legalize cannabis hemp and decriminalize marijuana.
