The story of Tilman's death is why a platoon should never split up when a vehicle breaks down, but should stick together within eyesight to ensure everyone knows who is friendly.
Whoever commanded this bad move to split up was effectively the cause of Tilman's death, not the guy who shot him.
"Tillman’s platoon leader first lieutenant David Uthlaut and his radio telephone operator (RTO), 19-year old Jade Lane, were wounded in the incident." -- this is why Tilman's group were not ID'd as friendly. Jade Lane was wounded, and no other trooper in Serial 2 could communicate with Serial 1 (Tilman's group). I bet Uthlaut also forgot to tell Serial 1 not to get out of eyesight. The 1 klick distance implies Serial 1 did not see that Serial 2 needed cover.
As well, Serial 1 was on foot because if they travels by Humvee, it would draw enemy fire. This implies the HVs were not battle hardened with armor.
This man covered up Tilman's death by friendly fire: Brigadier General Gary M. Jones.
By his order, the US military lied to his surviving family is proof that the US military engages in sociopathic behavior in order to draft innocent citizens to become cannon fodder in the Middle East and Afghanistan and anywhere else there is conflict.
This is why "there is no life like it in the Army", because of the patriarchal command structure, which condones rape culture as well.
This is because of GW Bush and Cheney who are the successful sociopaths who lied to the American people about WMD in Iraq and about the real reason for invading Afghanistan. It was not to get bin Laden but to eliminate Taliban threat to US Big Business who stood to profit once the US installed Karzai.

Rant about the UBC Rapist (satire)
I am a man and according to feminist thetoric I am inherently sexist. Isn't that too a sexist statement? Yes, neither side of the gender divide is innocent of sexism.
Oh wait1 I am not supposed to be ranting incoherently that is off topic. :p
Feminism is not free of bias itself. Since it is too inherently biased, then it becomes like a filter that facilitates dialog between all genders.
At 50, I realize that my biases are partially inherent. I refuse to exaggerate the sexism inherent in male rhetoric. There is no such thing as male sexism being totally inherent because such extremes are few in number.
For confirmation bias denies this, and a few feminists prove my point when they discuss the male stereotype.
Another feminist bias regards women as a visible minority when unemployed and underpaid. This depends on the age group.
Sometimes feminist rhetoric tends to turn grey areas of human civilization into black and white caricatures of reality while presenting it as reality.
Overall there is a gender bias present which is more subtle than men acknowledge.
How am I to be free of such bias if the confirmation bias of feminists label some of my actions as sexist yet sometimes deny theirs to be sexist by use of the fallacy that all men are sexist while subtly stating that only men are sexist.

In response, I deny that there are victims; there are only survivors of sexual assault. Even when the perpetrator escalates his violence against some women in the future, and rape become likely, they are then survivors of rape.
My reason for removing the term "victim" from my rhetoric is to imply that the human species is capable of surviving violence.
Not all men are rapists, nor is a man inherently violent. Both genders are capable of violence.
Therefore, the introduction of victimology into the discussion of sexual violence is inherently an artifact of the patriarchy that pervades society at this point in time.
Thus, by using the term "survivor" I have reframed sexual violence in a pro-active manner, rather than catering to a patriarchal bias by calling a victim a survivor.
This reframed view turns a victim into an empowered individual, and negates the perpetrator's impact. For victimology implies that there is a victim and a perpetrator as well as a them versus us ideology.
Calling such a victim a survivor does not negate the victim's experience. Rather, it removes the survivor from remaining powerless.
What does this make the perpetrator but a potential rapist? Especially when he escalates his violence.
As for myself, I have no sympathy for the rapist. He thinks he is entitled to exercise his power over a potential victim because in doing so, his loss of control over his sexual urges motivates him to gain control over someone potentially weaker than him.
How ironic that something that uncontrolled results in a show of power that reflect a hidden impotence!
If a man needs that much excitement in his life, then he is truly a sexual psychopath. Even though he may have a partner, not even she and his circle of friends would suspect him of such a crime.
A prime example of this is the UBC rapist whose six victims I only see as six survivors of an inept offender who gave up when his crimes became known.
To the survivors I have this to say: "through no fault of your own you survived a terrifying act of violence and prevented rape.

Rapes at UBC: Due to Rape Culture or Racial Profiling?
It is because women are seen as the weaker sex that rapists target them. The argument that women are the weaker sex is sexist.
Women are weaker because social conditioning of females in society has led to the fallacy that higher upper body strength is not feminine.
Yet women's fitness magazines have promoted upper body strength and increased muscle mass as sexy.
I argue that because of social conditioning, women have decided not to develop upper body strength and increased muscle mass.
Thus, women are the weaker sex due to choices they have made to protect the myth of the weaker sex.
Feminists would argue that this is a sexist rationalization. I could counter that this only looks sexist on first glance.
A close scrutiny of myths about femininity may be sabotaged by overemphasis on binary gender in society i.e. that there are differences in male and female behavior.
These differences are due to biases about what is feminine and what is masculine. By emphasizing that women are the weaker sex - a myth that has influenced women not to increase upper body strength and overall muscle mass - society has conditioned women and men to make that false assumption.
Thus the solution is to raise children to be human beings, and to encourage girls to participate in sports that were traditionally male.
This has been done in society yet the myth that women are the weaker sex still prevails.
As well, rape culture needs to be addressed in public education to prevent future assaults. I endorse increased physical training in girls and young women and martial arts training.
This has happened at UBC as a result of the rapes. It needs to be promoted in public education too.
Finally, the binary binary itself is a factor that needs to be addressed. The myth that women are the weaker sex is partially due to social conditioning. Women who believe that increased upper body strength and overall muscle mass is ugly tend to be living examples of that myth. The minority of women who have chosen to increase muscle mass are proof that the "women are the weaker" is a fallacy.
Rather than examining why women accept the myth rather than the truth that weakness is due to choices that both sexes make due to social conditioning, the social conditioning which results in the difference between the ways boys and girls are raised in society needs to be addressed.
Child-rearing differences that are based on gender respect the fact that boys and girls behave differently in social settings. Most boys are dominant in their behavior, while most girls are submissive.
However, when a girl tries to become dominant, she is given social cues to be submissive and whenever she breaks the rules, she is shamed until she is conditioned to be submissive in public but dominant in private. The same thing is done to boys: when a boy act submissive he too is shamed until he is conditioned to be dominant in public but submissive in private. These types of children tend to be the rule.
The boys and girls who reflect the myths of femininity and masculinity are not the rule in society. Rather they have taken the social cues to extreme. It leads to such fallacies that only the male ego exists in public, while in private feminine women give evidence of female ego through displays of vanity by frequently consulting their reflections to improve their beauty.
How does rape culture fit into this? Rape culture ia based on the assumption that boys and men are supposed to be dominant and girls and women are supposed to be submissive.
However, this assumption is a logical conclusion based on social conditioning which emphasizes the differences between boys and girls. It also is assumed that one trait of dominance is the use of violence. In contrast, one trait of submission is the use of nonviolent verbal communication to reduce the threat of violence.
In short, the dominant person will select a submissive person to victimize. However, the submissive person who chooses to act submissively becomes a victim.
In the cases of the rapes on UBC campus, most of the women did not submit willingly. Indeed, in most cases, the rape was stopped before intromission. Thus most of the cases of rape are actually cases of sexual assault since none of them wnded in coitus.
Thus I submit that the six sexual assaults since September 2013 are not rapes but attempted rapes. I also submit that none of the so-called victims submitted to rape but instead submitted to assault due to intoxication or fatigue but soon fought off their attacker.
This means that the rape culture argument is a political ploy by WAVAW aka the Vancouver Rape Crisis Centre to cast the six survivors of sexual assault as victims of rape.
As well, the term rape culture is itself a fallacy. If there was truly a rape culture, then the six incidents of sexual violence imply that there are up to 54 unreported incidents that were not reported because the many women did not think they were victims because they successfully fought off their attacker who was known to them or they are too ashamed to report the incident because they are afraid to be painted as the victim.
Therefore rape culture is a feminist term used to frame sexual assault in terms of aggressor and victim. As well, the dominance and submission dichotomy is a false one since there are people who are dominant in both public and private, people who are submissive in public and in private, people who are dominant in public and submissive in private and people who are submissive in public and dominant in private. Additionally there may be people who exhibit all four types of behavior depending on the circumstances.
Sexual violence is actually a rare occurrence, and incidents of it have been reported less over the years because of increased reporting. Its reporting on UBC campus has not stopped the sexual assaults because women on campus still believe they are safe and engage in behaviors that result in being assaulted by the attacker i.e. walking alone to their dormitories and walking in areas of UBC where it is safe for the attack to strike.
That there was a sixth sexual assault on UBC campus is proof that the rise in martial arts training by female students has done nothing to stop attempted rape. It also indicates that the message from UBC to walk in a group is not being heeded by some of the students.
Thus the women who was assaulted chose to behave in a vulnerable manner. I deny that I am blaming the victim since there is no rape victim. There is only another sexual assault survivor who is also a survivor of attempted rape. In all cases, the survivors successfully fought off their attacker.
It is because UBC has refused to allow the sexual assault centre from helping prevent sexual assault on campus in a more pro-active manner that these assaults continue.
It is also because UBC President Toope has yet to associate the assaults to the frosh rape chants and the incidents of racism on campus that the assaults will continue.
Additionally the refusal by a few female students to use the strategies available to reduce potential assaults shows either that they feel invulnerable due to their youth or refuse to behave in a manner that reduce the chance of sexual assault.
Nothing UBC campus does regarding assault prevention will help such women. They choose to remain vulnerable in the hope that the police or a security guard catches the attacker. However, because they choose to walk in areas which are unsafe, they also choose to accept the risk.
Regarding the attacker, the descriptions of him are consistent with a man not originally from Western society, possibly Middle Eastern, Persian or South Asian. It is not racist to assume that the man is born into a culture in which the traditional role of men is to be dominant and women, submissive. This is a cultural absolute in which any deviation from the norm almost always unfairly punishes the women. To such men, it is the norm for rape culture to arise.
Feminist would argue that this is racial profiling and that generally men create rape culture because they are dominant due to their gender. I counter-argue that the roles of dominance and submission is not exclusively "men are dominant" and "women are submissive" because it depends on the situation.
However, in traditional cultures, the roles of dominance and submission are rigid with men being dominant and women, submissive.
My guess is that the attacker is assuming that his potential victims would submit willingly. None of the six women who survived their sexual assaults submitted willingly and this prevented being raped. Why Didn't Anyone get Busted for Receiving Child Porn?
Why didn't they report the pictures to the police instead of allowing the bullying to happen?
I'll tell you why: because Amanda Todd was biracial and not white. Being outside the In group meant that she was prey to all the boys who she was sexually active with, who most likely had a copy of her boob pics from the pedo-bear who groomed her.
She was also the subject of scorn by all the girls in her school who received her pictures, even though they too should have reported the pictures to the police, too.
Instead, they judged her without even knowing they were participating in the pedo-bear's sexual harassment of Amanda Todd.
This is why I feel that the safety and security of children online needs to be discussed in middle school, not high school when it's too late.
As well, every one who knew of Amanda Todd and received those pictures, but got the wrong impression of her, everyone of them aided and abetted in the crime of sexual harassment, especially the boys who were sexually active with her.
In short, it is statutory rape to have sex with a minor, even when you are minor too, because none of the boys admitted he had those pictures to her before consent.
IMO she committed suicide because because they only wanted sex with her because they had her pictures.

Rehtaeh's tragic story of rape and blame is too common. By demanding perpetrators and authorities be held responsible is how we can change this -- how we can change the legal system and culture that allows this to happen.

On Tuesday, Minister Landry told reporters he would not order a review of the investigation. Hours after launching the petition we had a few thousand signatures and Minister Landry backtracked saying he was looking into all the options. By Wednesday afternoon we had nearly 20,000 signatures and Premier Darrell Dexter said "We need to have a broad-based comprehensive review."
I am glad the Minister and Premier have agreed to 'consider options for a review,' but that's not a commitment and the review can't be done by the people who messed it up in the first place.

The Marginalization of Women of Color
Women are being marginalized around the world, and especially women of color.
While this blog post is not a comprehensive look at the problem, I am posting it to show the ease with which I can find proof to back up the marginalization of women of color.
With the recent spate of rapes in India. sexism is rife in India, the world's biggest democracy.
At the same time, women of color are oppressed (including Muslim women. This includes the Pakistan girl, Malala Yousufzai, shot and now living in the UK, the hundreds of women in Afghanistan who not only have to watch out for the Taleban but also their husbands due to cultural clash between tradition and Islam, which in itself is not oppressive to women.
Now before I finish this blog post, I'm going to add all the evidence to back up my claim that women are being marginalized around the world.

I apologize for not writing about the oppression of women in developed nations. It's less overt and is concentrated around economic equity between men and women in the workplace. As well, I admit to ignorance about the marginalization of women of color in developed nations, because on the whole, the marginalization isn't as bad as in other parts of the world.
First of all, the marginalization of aboriginal women in Canada has been well documented.

You can Get Raped But Not Protest Rape in the World's Largest Democracy
While the lady raped on the bus in Delhi got emergency treatment in Singapore, the 17-year old girl who was raped recently by an auto rickshaw driver committed suicide.
The reason why has led to police officials getting canned.
Why should a minor who has been raped either choose between marrying the man who raped her or settling for blood money from his rapists? Especially when the police refused to file the rape complaint, which actually victimized the young woman as much as the rape itself.
If this is how the officials of the world's biggest democracy handle rape cases, it shows that the State is highly patriarchal in nature.
Even though India may be a nuclear power, domestically it seems democracy cannot inculcate in its men full respect for its women.
IMO it looks like in both cases, the men were investing in their manhood more than in any respect for women.
Their actions were predatory in nature, and in both cases, the police have failed in their duty to the State to protect The People.

Bipolar Disorder as Metaphor: It's not Just Venus vs Mars
Bipolar disorder is a metaphorical fight between Mars (sexuality, libido, nymphomania) and Venus (fertility, motherhood, feminine wisdom). Antidepressants put the disorder into remission by sedating Mars. Personally, I prefer seducing my inner Venus, but feminists would object.
Depression is represented by Saturn, the metaphor of limitation of control and power. Neptune represents inspirational and intuitive energy, and with respect to mental health, may signify hypomania.
The Sun may represent egocentricity, and ego-related disorders.
Moon represents the mind and emotions, but is also representative of the Oedipus complex.
Mercury represents the intellect and reason. This may be unaffected by the other planets. However, the egocentricity of the Sun has a strong influence on Mercury, with possible defects in intellect affecting rational thought.
Jupiter may indicate the religious affect of mental illness, which may be due to bipolar disorder.

The Metaphor of Little Red Riding Hood

Nice men are depicted as the most dangerous of men by Little Red Riding Hood because they might be a threat to innocent young women's virtue.
Thus, women are anxious of such men because they wish to "keep a reputation" i.e. have sex after marriage.
Yet, another interpretation of nice men is presented here:
Red Riding Hood has also been seen as a parable of sexual maturity. In this interpretation, the red cloak symbolizes the blood of the menstrual cycle and the entry into puberty, braving the "dark forest" of womanhood. Or the cloak could symbolize the hymen (earlier versions of the tale generally do not state that the cloak is red--the word "red" in the title may refer to the girl's hair color or a nickname). In this case, the wolf threatens the girl's virginity. The anthropomorphic wolf symbolizes a man, who could be a lover, seducer or sexual predator. This differs from the ritual explanation in that the entry into adulthood is biologically, not socially, determined. -- ibid
How can a man truly be a wolf, unless he is only after one thing? Yet, what if he never truly wants it?
Then, he is a gentleman for not getting what he wants: consensual sex with a willing woman?
So, this tale says a lot about society itself by promoting anxiety and fear of nice guys in young women to protect their goodness.
Thus Little Red Riding Hood is a story about our anxiety over increasing infertility of post-modern society in developed countries.

This is why Canadian justice has no death penalty.
