Over the years, I have observed people online, mainly by trolling, and have found that the difference between ignorance and stupidity is that ignorance depends on the person's will while stupidity is bereft of it.
For example, an ignorant person can have a master's degree but be a right wing racist who has authored a lot of opinions to prove that a person's intelligence is determined by his race. However, a stupid person will use the ignorant author's words to bully anyone he thinks beneath him, regardless of color.
When caught, the ignorant will behave righteously but the stupid will utter threats until he is called out. Then they'll move on to easier pickings.
In the end, you shall realize you have been trolled if you ever took their bait.
Yet the intelligent of people will never reveal their biases and prejudices so candidly because the Internet appears to attract narcissists who desire attention (the more selfish of the trolls), empaths (the idolaters of trolls of all stripes), sociopaths of varying degrees of failure and success, and everyone else who display varying shades of normality.
Therefore, it is difficult to categorize people based on what they disclose online, since their candidness and subsequent ability to remain truthful is dependent on our ability to separate fiction from fact while dispelling rumors.
Yet the more intelligent the person, the more likely he may either be a successful sociopath or be merely an adorable eccentric. However, these labels of empath, narcissist and sociopath are not diagnoses but are descriptions of Internet personalities based on what each and everyone on the Internet have said and/or written.
Even so, I do not base my descriptions on chance conversations in an Internet community on Googleplus, except to test the waters. That is what a troll is: the online analog of a depth charge designed to stun your followers until someone who might be worthy of dialog comes along to troll me back!
Thus, I tend to believe that, regardless of whether they are aware of it or not, most people on Google Plus might troll out of ignorance, just to test the waters but most likely to reassure themselves according to their intelligence.
Think of the empath as little fish, the narcissist as tuna who subsist on the empaths' adulation, and sociopaths as the shark who only pick off the little fish but cull the narcissists when they get too full of themselves. Think of the sociopath as the fisher throwing depth charges to bring to the surface the (re)action of people, depending on their level of intelligence.
Then, when you find someone as intelligent as you, try not to project your empathy, your narcissism or your sociopathy on that person lest you scare them away.
For s/he probably is as intelligent as you, intelligent enough not to be deliberately ignorant and certainly not as stupid as you would like to think.
Why do you think s/he is here? Except to be entertained by the little fishies of the Internet and to make friends with the other big fish in this microcosm of the world we live in, wherever that may be.
Enjoy trolling, but remember: the Internet is not solely a catch and carry feeding ground. It is a little catch and release pond. The more you release, the more you get to troll.

Gossip == White Lies That Protect the Truth (satire)
On Monday, I was so overwhelmed by my mother's gossip that I got upset and left after dinner.
It's been over 5 years that my mother has shared gossip with me about what she claims is the truth, but actually is her opinion based on her biases. However, it is my contention that consistent negativity taints the truth with the negativities of the truth teller.
From my observations, my mother is heavily opinionated and thus her claim of truth suggests she embroiders a series of white lies using tidbits of truth.
In fact, it really is not gossip because it is one-sided, and each and every time I have responded with my own opinion, she has either rejected or ignored it.
According my interactions with her for most of my life, the good son is supposed to listen to her monologue without comment but with rapt attention to her even though he is left feeling sad and depressed because the commentary is distinctively negative and one-sided.
If I assert myself and give my point of view, then she will not accept that and repeatedly has gotten upset over it instead of accepting it. Most of the time I have tried to ignore her negativity rant and have kept my opinions to myself. Even though that comes at an emotional cost, it ends the minute I leave her home.
My mother has stated that she has the right to paint a negative commentary about our family and the world at large without me offering counter-argument.
Thus, this is not a conversation that I participate in willingly; rather I am her sounding board who is supposed to only listen to her litany of anxiety- and fear-driven monologues about our family.
Yes, I am my mother's sounding board - and it only makes me feel like I do not really have a say in the conversation because it is based on emotion-laced opinions based on ignorance.
I feel that she also has projected her negativity onto me. Although she is my mother and has never done anything wrong, she has projected her behavioural and mental negativities onto me which consist of her anxiety and concern about her family.
As a result of her monologue whenever I visit her, it has in the past led to the fine tuning of my biases and prejudices due to her stifling influence.
As I get older, I realize that my negative feelings and emotions were all labeled by my parents.
In fact, only she is allowed to express negative emotions. If I get upset about having to listen to this broken record of lamentation, then I am asked why I am angry.
There is no real compassion from my mother if I show anger. In her eyes, it is wrong for a good son to show anger. Thus, she is the parental model for maladaptive behavior.
This leads me to believe that I do not own my negative feelings because they have consistently been labeled by my mother. When my objections to her non-stop litany of negativity has led to confrontations, she has asked me why I am angry and claimed not to know why I am angry.
Well, I am angry at having to listen to my mother's negativity, which takes an emotional toll on me. This is why I spent a quiet Christmas at home this year (2014)
Yet I love my mother dearly. The only positive outcome of having to put up with my mother is I loathe gossiping and am not willing to be candid with her about my life when asked about it, except to tell the white lies that protect my privacy.
Privacy is also why there are no examples of what she has said or what I have said.
Of course, the lack of examples of my mother's behavior may cause anyone who reads this blog entry to doubt what I have written. Such doubt is based on the lack of facts I provide to protect my privacy, and I can accept that as a given.
Even writing this on my blog is difficult to do because I am aware that writing about it leaves me vulnerable. However, Christmas time makes me keenly aware that holidays are supposed to be a time of quiet respite, free of gossip and other white lies.
When a parent expresses herself negatively, it means she is unwilling to see life in a positive light due to what life has handed her. While I admit that she has found in me a willing sounding board, the psychic pain that results from listening to her has left me unwilling to spend holiday time with her.
So I will not be spending New Years Day with her either. My quiet time is too precious to share it under the barrage of negativity that taints her gossip.
Instead, I will have to work on my own behavioral and mental negativities through prayer and meditation. Indeed, my own anxieties and fears are but the legacy of my own parents passed down to me. So are my hopes and wishes, though my best work is found through self expression in this blog.
Rather than complain about my life, I would rather give the synopsis of a part of my life that will continue until my mother passes on to the glory she deserves. Much of this blog entry is carefully crafted to protect my family's privacy.
No details were provided to protect my family. Hence, candidness would only happen when I am in the company of a trusted friend. Anyone who reads this blog entry thinking they have dirt on me would be sorely mistaken. All you have as "facts" are carefully written white lies that protect my mother and myself.
Because the Internet is almost like the public domain, it would be unwise of me to be candid. Even so, as my mother declared recently, "I have the right to speak out, because it's the truth."
Ironically, all of these truths are covered by white lies to protect the privacy of my family. As well, I would admit that most of my blog entries are also protected by white lies, because the world cannot ever handle the unvarnished truth.
Logically, my opinion that white lies protect the privacy of the truth-teller is inconsistent with the argument that truth ought to be devoid of lies. My counterargument is that the white lies that I carefully dispersed in this blog entry carefully hide the truth to protect my own privacy and the privacy of my friends and family.

With imagination, mere clouds
in the sky become water dragons,
dancing way up above us all.
With imagination, the sun
on the ocean with the waves
crashing on the shore
become water sprites dancing

Like a Virgin (satire)
One popular white lie is to say you're still a virgin. Originally, the word "virgin" meant only "unmarried".
Today, its meaning refers to a person who is innocent of carnal knowledge, both of the heart and in the flesh. However, the original meaning still applies to all unmarried single people, as born-again virgins.
Yet the ideal of the virgin is to remain pure and innocent of carnal desire and all temptations of the flesh by dedicating yourself to a worthy cause, be it a religious theology or a political ideology or even a humanist philosophy.
This virginal ideal shall be accomplished by being of service to the cause of your choice, provided you remain free of desire and temptation, all for the common good of society.
By maintaining a chaste mindset, the dedicated virgin is able to sublimate desire into service for her chosen cause.
Since such a path is only an ideal, few of us are able to remain a virgin unless we are free of desire in the midst of the temptations of the modern world, be it television and other forms of technology.
Though a lesser man might succumb to carnal desires in the midst of temptation, the superior man has made the worthy cause noble.
Yet dedication to the noble cause requires the strength of will to purify the mind until it becomes virginal, and thus free of desire.
Desire thus is sublimated into unconditional love for humanity.
This may be sought through meditation and prayer, be it through yoga and/or other spiritual means. However, such dedication also requires each of us to reduce the use of alcohol, cigarettes, illegal drugs, and even meat, depending on the circumstances.
For the purpose of reducing consumption is to dedicate ourselves to the goal of the pure mind and the pure heart that remains free of desire.
Ultimately a person by sheer will and determination will become like a virgin, free of desire to consume and ready to act for the greater good.
Thus the ideal of the virgin is to free yourself from crass materialism, and consciously choose to be of service to the greater good in society.
Such service can be found through work, volunteerism and similar social activities.
Yet only a few people are dedicated to a noble cause.
Whatever path is chosen, the noble cause is each person's choice and requires a simple code of conduct: acceptance that whatever is asked of you, you do it as long as it harms no one.
Thus the ideal of the virgin is the path of innocence, free of the world yet being in service to the greater good of society.
Free of clinging to the world yet ready toserve for the good of us all, those of us dedicated to the noble cause shall realize that the white lie -"still a virgin" - is the metaphor for feeling like a virgin, untouched by desire and free of temptation.

To the nervous Nellies including the usual government agents monitoring my packets, archiving my web content, collecting my phone contents, and other things CSEC does "for our own good": Move right along. Nothing to see here. I am not worth the money and the time at all.
However, I recommend you monitor someone worthy like the late Ms Todd's ex-best friends and their ilk. They might still be manufacturing pornography, you know, in Grade 10 and 11. ;)
This is the truth but, as the Todd case proved, nobody can handle the truth because families would be torn apart and the children would suffer horribly, all due to the truth.
Golly gee whizz! I guess them CSIS got them some kiddie porn manufactured by a girl driven to suicide all due to lack of mother love, right Carole? :p
Anyway, like I said before, nobody who knows the case could handle the truth, so the mainstream media in BC collaborated with the RCMP using the premise that a poor little girl was stalked by an online predator. This was done to sell to the sheeple that the late Ms Todd was a victim.

Speaking of which, had BC families actually attended church and read the Bible lately, they could avoid tragedies by NOT buying smartphones but buying old flip phones for their children. Post-modern Reality is a Dream World (satire)
Mainstream media is full of the modern-day equivalent of myths and superstition e.g. Zionists rule the world. Popular culture is probably a modern paganism e.g. the worship of celebrities. Even science is worshipped, as are certain politician e.g. Chomsky and Sagan.
This is what I call secular religionism. Not even are free of this because no one is immune to belief and faith.
Without belief, we doubt reality. Without faith, we are nothing but pathetic creatures. Hence the rise in sales of antidepressant after 9-11 is because a tragedy destroys our faith in the reality of our own making ("America is invincible").
Even atheists are not immune to this ability of the human mind to create an inner narrative in a desperate attempt to adapt to the rapidly changing physical reality of our existence.
Why else do they rail against religionists of the Abrahamic faith (Judaism, Christianity and Islam)? Why else do they not even have the patience to sit with religionists to cobble together a code of conduct?
Perhaps a few atheists and religionists are so fucking smart that they are this close to being crazy. For genius may be the positive side of madness.
Often they do not make sense to me e.g. "the more often you insist the truth is real, the most likely it may be a lie." This kind of fallacy implies that truth tellers are liars and covert sociopaths. That would depend on whether a truth teller is willing to do anything to expose the lies which help maintain the dreamworld of modern existence.
One of the biggest examples of this sociopathy that makes up the reality of life is the Amanda Todd story. Mainstream media is pimping the fantasy that an online stalker is the cause of Amanda's death by suicide when, in actual fact, it was the loss of mother love that led to her untimely death.
So I urge the truth tellers to expose the lies about the suicides of other girls like Amanda Todd. In each related case, there are clues pointing to mental illness like depression and even bipolar disorder. In a recent rape case that resulted in the girl's suicide, she was a willing participant in seuxal activity.
However, the boys who posted the video to the Internet are nothing but pornographers and online bullies. Likewise, the online bullies of Amanda Todd used to be her best friends.

Meditation on Ultimate Reality
Noumenon is mind, and phenomena, cosmos. When the ignorant mind discriminates between noumenon and phenomena, unreality arises in the form of confusion, and sometimes madness.
By viewing both noumenon and phenomena as one, nondual reality arises, and thus serendipity. For nonduality is the ultimate reality.
Only in the ignorant mind is the reality of existence suffering. Indeed, the mind that realizes nonduality is real has attained Nirvana.
All of what has just been written about the cosmos, the mind and reality is True. Only unbelievers doubt this Truth about reality itself.
Beyond the Buddha is Adi Buddha, the primordial Buddha. Though he is no Creator, Adi Buddha is the originator of all things, even the Creator and his Creation, the cosmos.
Although this Truth is alien to the Christian mind, the mind of the Buddhist accepts it as True and real.

America Viewed as a Nation of Sociopaths (satire)
Note: the term sociopath is a description not a diagnosis.
Slavery was popular because America was more sociopathic in the past, and thus unwilling to let black sociopaths succeed as equals. They denied slaves their rights because white sociopaths invented the lie that black people are inferior due to the color of their skin.
This lie is refuted by the works of successful sociopaths who are black, including several kings in Africa and Madagascar.
Yet blacks are not truly equal to other blacks and white peoples because the white and black unsuccessful sociopaths like preying on the narcissistic and empathic blacks, and compete horribly with the successful blacks. Of course, they also prey on whites, too.
Name calling successful blacks as Uncle Tom is a strategy unsuccessful black sociopaths to foment internecine warfare with successful blacks.
Another strategy is fornicating with black female sociopaths, narcissists and empath, but not marrying them and taking off when they beget children. This leads to a whole whack of dysfunction in the black community.
All of the problems in America today are because lying is a normal part of becoming a successful sociopath to amass wealth in America today.
Indeed, the sick soul of America is revealed through the lives of a bunch of sociopaths, both unsuccessful (criminals) and successful (corporate executives), while the middle class is being killed in the crossfire.
Here is evidence of that sick soul of America - in the comments section of this news story about the tragic drowning of the daughter of a Christian minister.
When a second child of a Christian minister dies, the wolves resort to racist name-calling and obscene jokes to troll for reactions.
They do so because Christians would have confirmation about the devilish nature of lost sheep who have mutated into cruel cowards. They go beyond merely laughing quietly with glee to anonymously expressing it in a perverse manner as they pretend to be the devil's advocate.
Yet they grow quiet when outnumbered by the well wishers.
Thus is proved my contention that the sick soul of America is revealed every time tragedy or even success is reported. These armchair sociopaths certainly are "scum."
It is no wonder most survivors of tragedy withhold statements to the press, with the mainstream media enabling such ingrates.

When a second child of a Christian minister dies, the wolves resort to racist name-calling and obscene jokes to troll for reactions.
They do so because Christians would have confirmation about the devilish nature of lost sheep who have mutated into cruel cowards. They go beyond merely laughing quietly with glee to anonymously expressing it in a perverse manner as they pretend to be the devil's advocate.
Yet they grow quiet when outnumbered by the well wishers.

Narcissists, the Successful Sociopaths (satire)
Last week, I bought a book by author Jon Ronson called the Psychopathy Test. Overall, it is debateable if journalism is full of people, some of whom are successful sociopaths and everyday narcissists.
After reading The Narcissism Epidemic by Jean M Twenge and W Keith Campbell, it's easy to determine who is a narcissist and who might morph into a psychopath. As for those successful sociopaths, it's hard to say.
Is a guy who yells at you for being rude by interrupting his conversation with a fellow traveller a failed sociopath, because his anger far exceeds the situation but qualifies as intermittent explosive disorder?
Is the prostitute on the corner of the red-light district helped when the dual diagnosis verdict is handed for her after stabbing a "bad" John because prostitution is legal and the police won't lift a finger due to their higher moral fortitude?
And are the police successful sociopaths who only Tazer the father concerned for his son who happens to be at an out-of-control house party, outside said party?
I don't know, but if any of them received their five minutes of fame on TV, then they might be guilty of narcissistic behavior. Not like they'd care much, as long as the camera got their good side — that's what might be on their minds.
Who am to judge? Like the medical term "hypertensive", "narcissist", "psychopath" and "sociopath" are neutral terms describing mental disorders. Contrary to popular opinion, they are not just labels.
Even if a person is a narcissist, they aren't all about themselves. Were they truly self centred, wouldn't they have their entourage? Although they might have a lot of friends, I bet they are mostly plastic and if not plastic, trying hard to save up to get some plastic surgery done.
In my books, a successful sociopath has taken all the attributes of the psychopath and turned them into positives. He might be curious as to why the face of person shot in the face ended up like that, but he's more likely to cry over the fact that a dog died, or even worse assault the guy who hit his car and ruined his paint job, than he would care if anyone is annoyed because his dog used to poop on the neighbour's lawn or if his car is the worst gas guzzler in its class.
What I mean is, the successful sociopaths hide among us, and the narcissists hide the best because all they care about is themselves. So most likely they're not going to dwell on this article long before getting bored. Mad props to you, you selfish fuck!
Anyway, I also tend to believe that mainstream media has more than the 1-4% of narcissists and sociopaths because most of the time they are churning out propaganda about the world rather than presenting the raw truth. Most likely we can't handle the truth, so we get propaganda because it'll distract us from the truth.
And the truth is, up to 25 percent of politicians and corporate executives are successful sociopaths, but most of them are narcissists who care more about themselves than others.
Most likely, they also make up middle management positions in any industry, even social housing.

Selfish as in self-cherishing, the devotee to the cult of individualism would deny she is in a cult. For the ego, when it is in control of your life, will tell you lies to endure its hold over you.
At its root, selfishness is like death: when the world revolves around you, the easier it is to wander through life, impatient with the concerned religionist, flouting your atheism as if it made you better than a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a Satanist, a Hindu, or even a Buddhist.
However, the move from religion to psychology and philosophy of Buddhism ensures our life.
Whether we like it or not, a spiritual friend will come for us, either to set us strait or to help us come to understand that the self that wants attention on its merit is solely the root of suffering and sorrow. As such, narcissism is sure to lead the unwary to self-made hell.
It makes this old fool wonder why people would think they are free when they practice no religion. How free are they really when the self tells them: "Oh, it's another religionist! Let's mock him?"
How utterly vain, and foolish are the selfish!
Were they even a bit wise, they'd work in the soup kitchens and help pass out food and clothes to the homeless — I've yet to hear of that, when atheists care about their fellow man enough to dole out food and clothing for those in need.
I do not know if this is because atheists are modest or if they truly care about the rest of humanity. Hopefully, it is the former because the latter sometimes seems to be so far away when the atheists mock religionists of every faith, be it a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a Satanist, a Hindu, a Buddhist, or any other organized religion.
For this cult of the individual is surely not a good thing in this post-modern world. True Love (satire)
in each person's heart, true love exists. Yet such love is not based on the myth that someone out there is The One.
Hidden by the idealism of romantic love is the heartache of ego-delusion, which often requires ignorance to sustain its agenda.
Often layers of trust need to be established for things to work out. Thus the romantic who trusts first is often betrayed.
True love must be cultivated by cutting through the myths of romantic love and replacing them with truth, even when such truths may cause romance to flee.
Let it flee, for in the place of romance, truth is the beginning of trust. This is why it is called true love.

Attention Sheeple: wake up from the dangers of the status quo!
I feel that society is antisocial when it lies about itself via mass media e.g. promotes a heteronormative and sexist status quo at the expense of homosexuals and women.
As well, youth culture that promotes ageism is also antisocial.
Thus it is society that promotes antisocial behavior when it deems anything the minority thinks is cool to be uncool and counter to the status quo of conformity.
Social norms only promote what is supposed to be normal within a cultural group.
Such norms become antisocial when they promote group harmony at the expense of honesty between members of that group.

Mental Illness as Society's Reaction to Inappropriate Honesty (satire)
In order to deal with reality, we sometimes develop elaborate fictions to cover the past or a defect of character.
Apart from the ravages of drug abuse, including the psychosis resulting from B-vitamins deficiency, which is prevalent amongst chronic alcoholics and may be part of other forms of abuse - though never acknowledged, few people would consider their fictions as the cumulative effect of the clever white lies they daily say over the course of a lifetime.
Even when we are threatened by a mortal illness which is in part due to the idiosyncratic varieties of personality and their attendant mental habits, few of us are willing to admit that it is due to lying to ourselves about reality.
Might mental illness be due to a history of white lies used to handle reality?
Maybe so, maybe not. Consider the white lies the State feeds us daily both through law enforcement (e.g. cannabis drug laws) and the media, be it news and edutainment (talk shows, reality TV, movies and advertisement).
Indeed, propaganda might be both cause and effect of the human ability to conceal the truth by not mentioning the obvious.
Schizophrenia might just be an effect of a society that cannot handle honesty and truth 24/7.
Some civilizations fell because a few revolutionaries became too honest about their current situation and caused doubt amongst the representatives of the ruling body for a specific monarchy, only to have a civil war fuelled by differences in ideology (monarchy versus nationalism and later, socialism versus free-market capitalism).
Russia's descent into communism was a post-modern example of this.
Most recently, examples of ideological warfare include the political damage control occurring in America due to Wikileaks, the recent protests in the Maghreb (north Africa from Morocco to Egypt) and in the Middle East (especially Libya, Egypt and Syria), and the hype and propaganda on cable news.
With regard to society, the honest people tend to get penalized for their honesty.
If you are honest about your taxes, you pay more taxes; if you are honest about your sexual exploits, then you tend to either get cock-blocked or end up alone in your old age; if you are honest about your emotions, then you get misunderstood. If you keep being honest, then sensitive friends and loved ones might get annoyed and either threaten to end the relationship or find someone who will tell them the white lies they want to hear.
Although I'm exaggerating about honesty to prove a point, I'd like to emphasize that total honesty entails full disclosure.
On the prospect of full disclosure, most people are adverse to expose their indiscretions to the public due to the public scrutiny which may arise as a result of such disclosures. When faced with the prospect of honesty, we'd rather baulk and wonder, "What would the neighbours think?" In the end, such honesty might lead critics to ignore the Biblical adage that "he who has no sin may cast the first stone".
If mental illness is due to society's reaction to inappropriate honesty, then mental health is the result of the individual's pro-active use of appropriate honesty.
With honesty and in the face of total disclosure, perhaps there is an appropriate outlet for it, both through journal writing and especially on-line blogging.

Everyone thinks al Jazeerah America is a reputable new source, despite being too pro-rebel and unbalanced in its reporting of Syrian civil war.
The truth gets airtime on conspiracy theory websites mainly because the truth would subvert the propaganda that Assad gassed his own people, and thus gets debunked as "fake."
Meanwhile, the fake news about Assad is accepted as "true" just because Obama and Kerry say it's true, because they have "proof."
Well, the truth is, America is strapped for oil and just wants another country not giving it oil to give it oil.

I'm no Fan of Halloween and Michael Myers
In order to be a fan of the Halloween series, you would have to believe that psychic powers is a fact, that evil causes a human to live forever, and that a druid cult is the reason why Michael Myers killed his family members.
Truth is, psychic powers are fake. Good or evil may come of what a human being creates, and satanic cults cannot cause a child to kill his family from afar.
Ain't make believe fun? >:)
Seriously though, Halloween is not a credible source to base anyone's belief in good and evil. As for satanic cults, what the Halloween movie series is promote propaganda for impressionable minds.
Anyone who uses horror films to base their moral values in and believes in the supernatural only believes in an imaginary and undead avatar of evil, but that's not how evil works.
For evil may come of what a human being creates.
Belief in evil in the reified form of Michael Myers may make great horror, but to take it seriously as a fan may lead one to question the consensual reality and perhaps invent an abnormal one.
FWIW I find truth and a firm grip on reality a lot more fun than make believe.

Contrary to what the psychiatrists have decided, mental illness is a rough collaboration between society and the individual based on society's opinion of the individual's mental state based on behavior without due care for its genesis in the individual's family of origin.
In sbort, mental illness, as well as mental health is a product of the complex interaction between the individual and society. It is not all in the head of the individual, but is always on the mind of each and every person they meet.
As well, mental illness is the product of social control in that society promotes the fallacy of liberty from coercion yet fails to place any guidelines on how to liberate the potential of the individual in a functional manner.
