Insomnia Model of Bipolar Disorder
This is a model based on a theory formulated by subjective analysis of bipolar disorder. Due to this subjectivity, it may be flawed and in need of correction. Please comment with corrections as you see fit.
Due to anxiety, specifically worry, insomnia leads to an extended period of lost sleep. That lost sleep leads to more of the same. At some point, hypomania arises and then escalates into mania. Finally a psychosis develops and the world that one enters is known as "depression" where one swings between the extremes of sleep and of insomnia.
During the hypomania phase, one gets productive until it seems the world cannot stand for efficiency and "getting things done" since society has engineered the concept of "disposable" and the efficiency of "lasts forever" is not "good business".
Once efficiency and "doing good" becomes "bad business", one enters the manic stage and consistently does good, but achieves no success because a do-gooder is "bad for business" in today's fast-paced world.
Frustrated by increasing lack of success, the manic person may "burn out" and enter "a world of his own" in the psychotic phase. The main feature of this psychosis is the ability to sleep long hours and to rapidly cycle between it and insomnia with short bouts of hypomania, where one is productive and interfaces well with other people. One then regains some success as his "business reputation" is restored through productive conferences with his circle of friends.
However, it is possible for mania to recur IF his feelings of self worth are forgotten as his income declines. Rising income actually leads to remission of mania.

Controlling the Impulsive Mind
It helps to think and think again before giving in to any impulsive act, especially when every time you do, you get a cheap thrill & want to act on impulse again.
A demonstration of this is trying to make twelve pieces of gum last a week. The best way to make gum last is leave the package of gum at home after having just one.
Whenever that package is in your back pocket, you might have anywhere from one to three, or more, depending on your ability to self-hypnotize yourself into feeling fully satisfied chewing on gum.
All it takes is self control of the mind, the only kind of mind control.

Mutah: Temporary Marriages in Shi'a Islam
In Shi'a Islam, the mutah is a temporary marriage contract when the
Muslim woman is seen as having the intelligence to carry it out. Except

Fikh treats women as nakis (defective) in intelligence because in Muslim law, emotional intelligence is considered lower than rational intelligence. This actually is a cultural bias. Mutah in itself reveals this cultural bias in favor of men because only the men can say "No, I will not have sex with you."

Yet Islamic law does not allow for contraceptives, possibly for the same reasons why the Catholic church bans marriage. Any woman who gives birth to illegimate children i.e. children that the father denies is his (and his denial is bindiong), then she is subject to 99 lashes for fornicating.
Personally, I feel that the temporary husband should be obligated to pay a blood price for each child arising from that marriage. If he can agree to a contract like this, then he should be obligated to learn about condoms at the least.

In comparison you can't make books have colour because the author would have to work at it.
Ergo the book isn't as racist and sexist as the movie because it was written by a woman who was writing for young teens and middle school children (ages 10-18).

India Practices Double Standard Regarding Prostitution
KOLKATA, India (Reuters) - An Indian state on Friday rejected a proposal by prostitutes to pay tax to the government in return for stopping police raids on brothels and checks on soliciting clients.
Officials in the eastern state of West Bengal said since prostitution was illegal, the government could not tax sex workers.
"Tomorrow, criminals will say we will pay taxes so don't catch us," Raj Kanojia, a top state police officer, said.
On Thursday, the Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee (DMSC) -- an umbrella group of 65,000 sex workers in West Bengal -- announced that prostitutes would charge clients extra to help them pay tax.
"Even if we collect one rupee from each client it would boost the exchequer," Smarajit Jana, DMSC's chief adviser, said. "Let the government collect taxes legally, as prostitutes in any case pay the police hefty amounts to get away."
About four million clients visit red light areas under the control of DMSC every month in West Bengal.
Sex workers say they are harassed by police and picked up from brothels, hotels and nightclubs and jailed. They often have to pay bribes to officers to continue working.
Under Indian law, sex workers cannot solicit customers in public. Authorities tolerate brothels in some areas although police often raid them to rescue minors or to prevent women from being forced into the profession.

Myopic Thoughts on Male Prostitution

However, it is homophobic to call a straight male gay if he expresses such a wish when his desire to become female is tempered by reality and motivated by egalitarian ideals rather than the patriarchy that claims to foster equality of gender rights yet condones sexism by both sides of the gender debate.
At the moment, the choices to get out a bad situation a woman has are exceedingly greater than for a man in the same position when at risk.
For example, a female prostitute can get pregnant or get married to avoid the situation. If a bad trick is after her, she can escape to a women's shelter. If she has a drug addiction, there's rehab. As well, she can delay prostitution to a later age than men. She is at risk for victimization by rape and murder.
A male prostitute has to avoid gay bashing, sodomy (rape) and murder. He also has to wait until 18 before seeking to get out of the business, because he could end up being taken from one home and placed in another, rather than actually have the core issue that he may share with his sister of the night: threat of physical and/or sexual abuse in the home he lives in. If that threat is absent there, then there may be an abuser awaiting in the immediate community.

Essentially, the family's cohesiveness ought never be challenged by the State. For the consequences of State involvement in the break-up of family are worse than the immediate situation IF and only IF the family is so dysfunctional that the children's security and safety are at threat.
During the interview to become a foster parent, it is up to the social worker to get a complete picture of the foster parents, his or her parents, and how everyone grew up. This thus will involve family therapists, and other mental health professionals. As it stands now, the gaping holes in the process leading up to being a foster parent need to be repaired.
Making these statements about foster parenting is in no way 'attacking' good foster parents. It is merely asking of social workers to enhance the security of family and the security of fostering. If this is actually done now, and my words are not in touch with today, then my words only show that I expect the process to continue to weed out "bad" parents.

I actually encourage ethnic solidarity to be the practice of social workers. A lot of the problems in foster families is that the cultural milieu of the foster home may be at odds with the culture in which the child grew up. When the child is between 12 and 18, cultural traits are already hardwired and therefore, there will always be confrontation between the foster parents and the child being fostered. Therefore it is recommended that the child be matched by cultural origin, before other criteria are added to ensure fostering avoids the pitfall of any underlying agenda to continue the cycle of patriarchy.
Ethnic solidarity implies that both the child's cultural traits and the foster parents' traits match. When they do not match, then the foster parents are disqualified. Thus the home must be Asian if the child is Asian. However, the parents may be Asian or non-Asians who have adopted most of the Asian cultural traits through assimilation in an Asian community or country. This is not a racialist priotity; this is a multicultural priority.

My Hope for the Future
Overall, reduction of oppression of women of color.This may be done by egalitarian means.
Elimination of child neglect and child abuse.
Elimination of the glass ceiling for women, or better, women executives competing on the same level of men, due to men's enlightened attitude, throwing off patriarchy's disempowerment of both men and women.
Discovering evidence to counter the effect of religion as disempowering women by making Buddhist practice less of a religion and more of a lifestyle change. For Buddhism has shown that when practiced outside of patriarchies in an egalitarian society, demonstrates that Buddhist women benefit as much as men do.
As well, I believe that less oppression and sexism actually occurs in society than it did 100 years ago.
However, neither men nor women should be the privileged sex, as both feminism and patriarchism promise.

Canada Blocks GooglePlus Notifications
Since I've been a member of Google Plus, Canada is blocked from receiving Google+ updates via mobile text messaging due to Canada having issues with how Google uses that information. However, Google has already shown how transparent it is by appearing before Ottawa's privacy commission
Though Canada has a bigger issues with Twitter for not responding to Canada demand for transparency. Yet Canada is not blocked from receiving tweets from Twitter.
That's because tweets market a brand in 140 characters or less.
GooglePlus may have a bigger buffer area for marketing a channel be it Blogspot or Youtube.

Rogers Communications cannot match Sprint's $30 unlimited, similar to Chatr at $45 (capped at 100 MB) and especially WIND's $35 unlimited (capped at 10GB) and Mobilicity's $45 ($25 plan + $20 Premium Data capped at 20 GB).
An unlocked 3-SIM phone for the Chat-Fido-Rogers network with an app to change wap, internet, and mms/sms information would be a best buy overall, though two of the carriers (Fido and Rogers) would have 3G (GPRS and EDGE), 3G+ (UTMS, HSDA), and 4G (HSDPA, LTE) while Chatr lacks HSDPA and LTE.
In contrast an unlocked smartphone capable of handling the bands (Nokia 500) can be used on Mobilicity but only for Metro Vancouver coverage - ditto for Wind.
It might take some work to get the Nokia 500 to use with Bell Canada and Virgin Mobile Canada or TELUS and Koodo Mobile, as GSM and EDGE may not be available but UTMS may. To The Critical Feminist
If you're a feminist who supports critical thinking, then you should check out CAFE, rather than listening to your activist sisters propagate misinformation.
When a group uses hate speech to censor a person out of ignorance, it makes the ideology it represents look bad.
So if you consider yourself an intelligent feminist, then it's recommended you inform yourself about whoever you are protesting against so you don't act out of ignorance.
As far as I can tell from the UTSU's Facebook page, they outdid themselves in using hate speech, and acted out of ignorance to violate the University of Toronto's code of conduct.
Then they objected to being harassed and vilified online.
How then is feminism going to help free women of colour from oppression if they resort to the same tactics they accuse men of?

Americans Don't Have the Right to Bear Arms
Given that America is neither in a civil war nor in a revolutionary war, the "right to bear arms" does not apply to the average American. Rather, Americans may share the privilege of becoming an NRA member and even that of a survivalist.
However, anyone claiming to have the inviolable right to bear arms is always misunderstanding that right.
Is America in a civil war? A Revolutionary war? If you think so, then you fail the mentally competent test.
As for the right to self defense, that's not even covered by the amendment right to bear arms. Rather, that's covered by property rights i.e. a citizen of America has the right to defense his or her property from trespass.
According to state law, that right of self defense includes shoot to kill when it is determined that one's life is threatened.
However, in the case of death threats and the like, that falls under criminal harassment, and if the perpetrator continues to harass you, then it would be illegal for you to hunt him/her down and shoot him.
Though if the harasser hunts you down and tries to kill you, then you have the right of self-defense, provided the presence of your gun removes his will to kill or, in the worst case scenario, you shoot your harasser dead, then the court of law may rule in your favor. Though that might be determined by how many bullets you put in your harasser. >:)
Therefore, the right to bear arms only applies to the two possible scenarios: a civil war and a revolutionary war.
Additionally, the purchase and use of a firearm for protection and self defense has nothing whatsoever to do with the right to bear arms, but with the right to safety and security as well as the right to protect your property from criminal trespass.

Honor Killings Are Still Murder
I could quote from news articles from Middle Eastern and African nations where more madness goes on that is more common than child abuse deaths in America.
In one Middle Eastern country, a Yazidi girl fell in love with a Muslim boy, and the Yazidi menfolk demanded that the Yazidi sheik protecting her release her to her family. Or else.
So the sheik did so, whilst urging the men not to harm her. She ended up stoned to death, merely for falling in love with a Muslim boy.
In Egypt, Coptic girls are routinely harassed by men of Salafi Islam sect, merely for being Christian. The Egyptian government usually looks the other way.
In Libya, blood feuds are going on right now, just because a handful of clans supported its former leader Gadaffi. Yet we never hear any stories from the women of Libya. In fact, the West has been repeatedly told to mind their own business.
In Somalia, a 13-year old girl was stoned to death for reporting a rape to the militia. Before the stoning, witnesses to the rape tried to rescue the child but were shot by militia members.
Imagine how many deaths of Syrian girls are happening right now just because their brother, cousin, or father is a rebel.
However, honor killings are still murder, yet because of the Law of Hammurabi, the men in those countries will get away with it.
Then think about the Palestinian girls caught in the bombing of the Gaza strip by Israel in November 2012, left shell shocked and mourning their loved ones.
I know of one story where a Palestinian girl was shot by an Israeli sniper.
While that's not an honor killing, it is proof that Israel is willing to do anything to keep the big business of warfare alive so the right-wing and religious parties could dominate Israeli politics, using the victimhood of anti-Semitism to ensure its popular vote.
With recent Israeli elections in January 2013, though, the government's political stance has moved slightly to the left from right. Currently the left / centre / Arab parties took 59 seats while the right-wing / religious parties took 61.
All of this killing is terrorism in the Middle East, whereas in America, instead of terrorists, we get school shooters making news during Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, and the return to school at the end of August.

Child Abuse Cases Have Racist Undertones
Please read this news story, and then ask yourself, "When would African children be defiant in a fundamental Christian home?"
When the adoptive parents are white, and don't understand that they took their adoptive children away from their culture and friends.
I object strenuously to fundamentalist Christian families adopting children from another country where the culture there is dissimilar to their own.
These deaths also have the appearance of a racist element because in the two cases mentioned in the story, the children were of African descent.
If the children were defiant, then it could be that they had previously adapted to the culture of their country of origin. In one case, the girl who died was 7 years old. In the other case, the girl was old enough to have adapted to cultural norms for her country of origin.
Thus in both cases, the adoptive parents made errors in adopting African children who were old enough to adapt to their native culture, and thus would require more patience than the fundamental Christian parents who killed them had.
This is what I have objections with: adopting older children who have already adopted the cultural norms of their country of origin.
It's not the children's fault then.

When the adoptive parents are white, and don't understand that they took their adoptive children away from their culture and friends.
I object strenuously to fundamentalist Christian families adopting children from another country where the culture there is dissimilar to their own.
These deaths also have the appearance of a racist element because in the two cases mentioned in the story, the children were of African descent.
If the children were defiant, then it could be that they had previously adapted to the culture of their country of origin. In one case, the girl who died was 7 years old. In the other case, the girl was old enough to have adapted to cultural norms for her country of origin.
Thus in both cases, the adoptive parents made errors in adopting African children who were old enough to adapt to their native culture, and thus would require more patience than the fundamental Christian parents who killed them had.
This is what I have objections with: adopting older children who have already adopted the cultural norms of their country of origin.
It's not the children's fault then.

Why Adam Lanza Killed
His mom was a end of days cultist.
If that doesn't lead to neglect and subtle forms of child abuse, then I'm going to shut up about this.
However, there is nothing about the rumoured proposed hospitalization of Adam Lanza. Ergo, that's a rumour and unverified.
So my guess is, Adam Lanza killed not because his mom cared more about kids, but because as a survivalist, she'd inculcated some crazy shit in her son.
Maybe Adam went wacko because Nancy Lanza pissed him off.
He shot up the school because he wasn't treated respectfully there. his autism and Aspergers would have gotten him into special needs, and might have subjected him to the social isolation that precedes a personality disorder.
In short, Adam killed because the public school system is designed to manufacture two types of students: the academics and the "problem children".
For mental illness itself indicates that there is something wrong with society that's supposed to be inclusive but excludes anyone who cannot be controlled.
I fault the medical model of mental illness with its obsession with deficits and pathologies without balancing it with a social model of mental illness.
However, I feel that the Lanza shooting has less to do with mental illness and more to do with America's obsession with the Second Amendment to justify their obsession with guns.
In short, Adam Lanza is trying to show that, in the end, there is something wrong with how the public school system treats the problem child and with how a mother's obsession with guns would warp a child's mind.

On Losing Friends, and Making Money from Blogspot
Hmm, I'm losing people from my GooglePlus Circles, most likely due to the articles I have written being too outspoken.
I make no apologies for airing my opinion about politics and religion. I try to do so mainly from my blog, though I often write the first draft on G+, cut and paste them to my blog.
However, I've noticed most of my posts about computers tend to get less hits than the posts about politics and religion.
Oh, and according to latest statistics, my blog should make me about $100 in about 100 weeks (circa 2014).
After a couple weeks of posting on my blog, I've realize that I need about 8 hours of time daily to make that goal in a shorter time.
So there's no point in reposting old articles unless I add more to them, beefing up my argument with Wikipedia "evidence".

Mental illness Stigma Kills Discussion in Light of Recent Shootings
First it started with Marc Lepine, the Columbine school shooting, Kimveer Gill's spree at Dawson College in Montreal, the Theatre shooting by a gifted grad student, and now 20-yea old Adam Lanza killing little kids in a school in Newtown, Ct.
Throughout it all, while there has been call for open dialogue about mental illness, all the pundits have avoided such discussion and focused on gun control without serious discussion of the real problem.
Every time I bring it up, though I get a + for my effort, nothing but silence descends.
So it's up to me to mention it every time it's brought up and do so repeatedly, emphasizing that guns are not the problem here; mental illness is.
Yes, folks, being crazy or nuts is the big problem, and it begins in kindergarten.
That's when tomorrow's killer is weaned out, pumped full of drugs, and manufactured into a torture soul who kills, because of the social ostracism caused by children with behavior problems, tha autistic savant, the fidgety child with ADHD, and a handful of psychotic children, victims of abuse trying to cast a light on mental illness.
Later, medication fits into this scenario because schools are models of control, discipline and order. If Johnny asks the wrong question or worse, acts out, then it's off to the school psychologist to see if he needs medicated into submission.
Then his parents are given the medication propaganda before relenting and accepting the medication for his son, when the problem is, school have abandoned the Socratic method of teaching for academic streaming of students, fit for university but often incapable of critical thinking i.e. reflective thinking that befits a student of meditation.
Cut back to the Newtown school shooter: was he on Prozac and over-prescribed? Was his mother a good mother? Did this school have a problem with him when he was going to it?

Adapting Dubstep Like Adapting Tai Chi: Learn it and Make it Your Own
I'm trying to teach myself dubstep (the dance moves, not remixing as dubstep).
I heard the Adele Set Fire to Everything rmix by skrillex and he failed on it. So sometimes it works, but not always.
Anyway, I try to mix up whatever I teach myself, and so it may be all wrong to other people.
I'm not interested in learning dubstep the right way, but in adapting it to my physiology. After I did it to tai chi, I made it my own.
Dubstep however appears to require footware that may promote self injury as you need a sole that does not "stick" to the surface it's on.
I can fake dubstep in socks but not in boots with "tracks".
Which means I'll need to invest in used bowling shoes as they allow one's feet to slide when needed.

Are You Just Evil or a Do-Gooder?
As an ex-Clubvibes member, the minute I saw the article called "Anonymity Doesn't always Make You a Jerk. It Might Make You Kinder."
Though I admit replying with a reference to that website for social drinkers and their fans (usually their designated driver), it's the fact that Clubvibes had both fuckwads who were this close to being abusive and do-gooders that drove me away.
Why? Because I was turning Evil due to lack of sleep and the power that relative anonymity gives people.
However, what the Evil-doers and do-gooders hated was me switching between extremes. They thought it was normal to either be an extreme Evil-doer everyone hates or an extreme do-gooder who wants to reform a member who cries about her worst time at a club.
Either way, a person is lifé.
That is why I tried to be a moderate who may appear to be totally Evil but actually is a do-gooder.
Even though I had fans on that website, they wouldn't all stick up for me when the Evil-doers who were bullies started their abuse.
That's because most people who stand up to the bullies tend to escalate the situation by answering the bully's challenge instead of saying clearly that they will not put up with bullying on-line and do not answer the challenge.
Word to the wise: tell the owner of any web forum if a cyber-bully decides to take his sexual frustration out on you by tearing a piece off you on-line.
After hours of watching people trade insults on-line on Club Vibes, I'd only stick up for the underdog if s/he actually wasn't Evil. Usually the best way to determine if they are, is to offer private compliments. As a rule, Evil-doers usually tell you where to go and block you.
Just like Club Vibes, there are kids on GooglePlus who follow this same mentality of being more evil than Google. Thankfully, G+ allows me to report, mute and block them. The same goes for Twitter.
Otherwise, I'd be lumped in with the Evil-doers for a stupid comment that never was abusive but definitely passive-aggressive (usually a quote from a favorite TV show like Dr Who or the cult classic Firefly).
However, that would be a totally Evil way of reasoning because if you think long and hard about what I said, it's usually a constructive comment.
Anyway, I stopped logging into Club Vibes when I realized I'd become just as Evil as the Evil-doers who used multiple accounts to indulge in passive-aggressive forms of abuse as a form of social engineering.
There was no longer any purpose in using my sageb1 account to be a do-gooder, because I had been Evil to friends and enemies alike.

Carly Rae "Maybe" Jepsen in Free Concert
Carly Rae Jepsen is doing a free concert in her hometown of Mission City, BC on December 17, 2012.
Target is hosting this free show for her Home for the Holidays concert at the Clarke Foundation Theatre in Heritage Park Centre at 33700 Prentis Ave, Mission, BC.
Gates open at 7 PM.
Last Tuesday December 11, 2012, 500 free tickets were given away by Target in Mission.
Is Jesus God?
Long answer: No. He never said he was the Son of God either until it was time. Then he only said, "That is what you say" when accused of blasphemy.
In fact it took three Christian councils after Roman Emperor Constantine ordered the First Council to establish that Jesus has two natures, both divine and human, but his divine nature was not corrupted by flesh.
Sadly though, it was a Christian sin to declare humans have two natures like that of Christ, as he was supposed to be unique.
Personally I believe the Nestorian heresy, that Jesus, like all sentient beings, is of two natures, but his divine nature is immaculate. The human nature only occults (hides) his divine nature. To avoid blasphemy and stoning by Jews, the early Christian church never said simply that Jesus is God.
This led to the Nestorian heresy being banned later by a fourth council of concerned bishops.
Short answer: Yes, but needed never to say so, in order to give enough time to spread his message.
Yet the Bible never firmly declared Jesus to be God. That is done through Christological reasoning by taking Old testament statements out of context. In fact, the First Council of Nikai'a (near modern-day Iznir, Yurkey) was held in 325 CE.
It was an established ecumenical council which set precedent for later councils to create statement of beliefs and canons of doctrinal orthodoxy.
In the First Council, the debate surrounding Jesus' divinity was settled. Any priest or bishop who continued to fuel debate had his religious opinion declared heretical if it couldn't be fit into the resulting doctrine that Christ is the one true God in deity with the Father.
Additionally, the First Council established the doctrine regarding the nature of the Son in his relationship to the Father; in particular, whether the Son had been 'begotten' by the Father from his own being, or created out of nothing like other creatures.
Also, the debate regarding when to observe Easter was settled by following the Jewish Lunar calendar for Passover (the Paschal), and marking Jesus' martyrdom on the first Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon.
However, the fact remains that an unmarried Jewish woman was made pregnant by God after an angel told her of this.
Ironically though, this immaculate conception by Mary is sometimes forgotten when unwed Christian mothers are unjustly turned away by certain Protestant Christian communities.
Thus Church doctrine states clearly that Jesus is the One True God in deity with God.
Even so, the question is actually unanswerable since you and I have a only a vague idea what being deity with God actually means. Simply, it means Jesus is not simply God, but his Begotten Son, which means Mary is now the Virgin Mary and thus puts undue emphasis on sexual virginity, ignoring the fact that being a virgin at the time of Christ's birth only meant a woman was unwed.
This is but a small matter today, as Jesus was most likely born in late spring rather than December 25.
But that's worth a new blog entry when it's closer to Christmas...

Where's Arthur Darvill At?
If you're a fan of Dr Who, you know him as Rory Williams, husband of Amy Pond on Dr Who, wed during Series 5, survived the apparent death of the Doctor in Series 6 and sent by a stone angel to a fixed point in time in Manhattan in the late 1940s in Series 7.
If not, then the 2010 Ian Dury biopic, Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll had him cast as Mick Gallagher, the guy who played the Hammond organ for Dury's band, The Blockheads. Showcased as Ian Dury and the Blockheads, this band's claim to fame is the song Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll.
Darvill was a perfect fit for Gallagher, since his father played Hammond organ for the Northern Soul artist Edwin Starr, R&B and soul singer, Ruby Turner, the reggae/pop band UB40 and the rock band Fine Young Cannibals.
He's also had a solid background in theatre from age 10 on with training in stage combat at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Here he is in military uniform with weapon at the ready in the Dr Who Series 6 final, The Wedding of River Song in a smashing fan video mix with music from The End by Kings of Leon with shorts that episode.
Though, his role as Rory Williams may have something to do with both Darvill and Matt Smith, starring the stage play version of Swimming with Sharks in 2007. If Steven Moffat heard about that, then it would be great to team them up with Karen Gillan, who received a lot of comedy and drama spots from BBC.
Yet that's speculation, which is what gossip isn't about. >:)
When the Emilé Zola novel, Au Bonheur des Dames (The Ladies' Paradise), was rewritten for UK TV as The Paradise in 2012, transplanting its characters to North East England, Arthur Darvill played in a bit part as Bradley Burroughs in Episode 5. He plays a barber who is made a junior partner in the Paradise, a high-class department store by its founder Moray. When Burroughs threatens to reveal all about Moray's wife's death, he ends up missing (and probably dead).
Last year, he played in Doctor Faustus as Mephistopheles at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. This year, he played Parry in Our Boys at Duchess Theatre. These theatres may not be as big as Broadway is to Americans, but to people in the UK who love theatre, these venues are bigger in their eyes.
So, it looks like theatre is in his blood and he's good at bit parts, plus he knows how to make pizza. That's where Arthur Darvill's at.

Darvill was a perfect fit for Gallagher, since his father played Hammond organ for the Northern Soul artist Edwin Starr, R&B and soul singer, Ruby Turner, the reggae/pop band UB40 and the rock band Fine Young Cannibals.
He's also had a solid background in theatre from age 10 on with training in stage combat at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Here he is in military uniform with weapon at the ready in the Dr Who Series 6 final, The Wedding of River Song in a smashing fan video mix with music from The End by Kings of Leon with shorts that episode.
Though, his role as Rory Williams may have something to do with both Darvill and Matt Smith, starring the stage play version of Swimming with Sharks in 2007. If Steven Moffat heard about that, then it would be great to team them up with Karen Gillan, who received a lot of comedy and drama spots from BBC.
Yet that's speculation, which is what gossip isn't about. >:)
When the Emilé Zola novel, Au Bonheur des Dames (The Ladies' Paradise), was rewritten for UK TV as The Paradise in 2012, transplanting its characters to North East England, Arthur Darvill played in a bit part as Bradley Burroughs in Episode 5. He plays a barber who is made a junior partner in the Paradise, a high-class department store by its founder Moray. When Burroughs threatens to reveal all about Moray's wife's death, he ends up missing (and probably dead).
Last year, he played in Doctor Faustus as Mephistopheles at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. This year, he played Parry in Our Boys at Duchess Theatre. These theatres may not be as big as Broadway is to Americans, but to people in the UK who love theatre, these venues are bigger in their eyes.
So, it looks like theatre is in his blood and he's good at bit parts, plus he knows how to make pizza. That's where Arthur Darvill's at.

Yes, it might be be old news to Dr Who fans, but what is new are the two following videos, which introduces Earth's Greatest Detective.
This video also clued me in on Karen Gillan's green card, as noted in my previous blog entry.
Next, Jenna-Louise Coleman is introduced as Carla, the Doctor's new companion.

Karen Gillan's in L.A.
Now that she's got a green card, Karen Gillan's gone to Los Angeles to get a lot of movie making happening in the years to come. Indeed, she's legally allowed to stay in America.
Yes, yes, all that marketing in the talk show circuit has paid off.
Set to play in theatres in 2014, the movie Oculus is a horror film about a deadly mirror.
Now, Gillan has done horror before, this year starring in the BBC Two multi platform teen horror series The Well. Back in 2010, she starred in Outcast, a supernatural thriller, which is this close to horror without the blood and guts. It makes marvelous use of her Scots accent as it takes place in Edinburgh.
That Karen Gillan, though.. she knows how to tell a mean joke, using herself as material when opportunity presents itself. Craig Ferguson sets it nicely too by noting that as a redhead, she'll be needing the sunblock. I won't be spoiling the punchline for any of my followers who like that sort of humor.
Before I end my fan gossip about Gillan, whose role as Amy Pond on Dr Who for Series 5 to 7 brought new life to the BBC series, my search for Karen Gillan and Los Angeles led me to the video accompanying this blog post.

Manjusri in Journey to the West
In the Journey to the West, The Vajrayana Bodhisattva Manjusri - Manjusri's lion caused havoc in Wuji to punish its king for dunking it (disguised as a Buddhist priest) in the moat. Tathagata Buddha did this to test the king's faith. Tathagata is another name for the Sakyamuni Buddha formerly known as Gotama.

Yamuna Gently Weeps
No mother wants to nurture her child in a slum. Families do not live in a slum out of choice; it is a matter of survival.
Yumana Gently Weeps is the story of one of the biggest and oldest slums in Delhi and in India, called Yamuna Pushta. A slum that gave shelter to 1,50,000 people and which nurtured more than 40,000 homes. A world within a world existed in Yamuna Pushta.
Schools, medical and healthcare centres, self-help groups, shops, restaurants, creches, small businesses and various social organizations, worked closely with the community, bringing about immense positive change in the lives of the residents. This massive township was demolished in a few weeks.
40,000 homes were razed to the ground and more than 1,20,000 people were left to the mercy of the cruel streets. Just twenty percent of the families whose homes were demolished, were in the guise of resettlement, shoved forty kilometres away from the main city and civilization, onto a barren piece of land in Bawana, where there was no proper sanitation, no medical facility, pathetic water supply, no electricity, and worst of all, no scope of earning one's livelihood. All this and more in the middle of peak summer.
Thus begins the book by Ruzbeh N. Bharucha, son-in-law of Dr. Kiran Bedi, India's first woman policewoman who went on to found two foundations dedicated to prison reform, Nawajyoti and India Vision Foundation.
Kiran's great-grandfather was Sikh, immigrated from Pakistan to Amritsar and opened a pilgrimage inn, one of many now managed by Peshawaria Trust.
Both her maternal and paternal relatives are on the IVF board of directors, and some of them even have contributed to the industrial development of Dehli through the North India Development Authority (NOIDA).
Indeed, the Arora, Bharucha, and Peshawaria families have done much to care for the poor of Dehli.
Manjit Panghali's Husband and Brother-in-law Caught
Manjit's husband and brother-in-law were jailed in connection with her murder.
My guess is Manjit wanted her brother-in-law out of the house due to stalking his ex-girlfriend in Richmond.
In retaliation, both brothers killed her.
Was it Sikh culture that conditioned them to act this way? No.
Was it Hindu culture? No.
Rather, it was a misunderstanding of Sikh principles about how to be men. I'd say mainstream Sikh values played a small part in Manjit's death.
By killing Manjit, both the brothers Panghali are only two Indo-Canadian men subject to Canadian law.

You study the scriptures, say your prayers and argue;
you worship stones and sit like a crane, pretending to meditate.
You speak lies and well-ornamented falsehood,
and recite your daily prayers three times a day.
The mala is around your neck, and the sacred tilak mark is on your forehead.
You wear two loin cloths, and keep your head covered.
If you know God and the nature of karma,
you know that all these rituals and beliefs are useless.
Says Nanak, meditate on the Lord with faith.
Without the True Guru, no one finds the Way. ||1||
The mortal's life is fruitless, as long as he does not know God.
Only a few, by Guru's Grace, cross over the world-ocean.
The Creator, the Cause of causes, is All-powerful. Thus speaks Nanak, after deep deliberation.
The Creation is under the control of the Creator. By His Power, He sustains and supports it. ||2||
The Shabad is Yoga, the Shabad is spiritual wisdom; the Shabad is the Vedas for the Brahmin.
The Shabad is heroic bravery for the Khshaatriya; the Shabad is service to others for the Soodra.
The Shabad for all is the Shabad, the Word of the One God, for one who knows this secret.

The One Lord is the Divinity of all divinities. He is the Divinity of the soul.

Why do people study scriptures? What is prayer, and arguing? Who was Guru Nanak addressing in this Shabad? The language and literary style of this hymn is elite and classical grammar. The Guru blends this Seheskriti language combined with Sanskrit, Parkriti, Punjabi, Hindi, Farsi, and other languages. It appears as if Guru Nanak was addressing pakhandi (hypocritical) religious scholars of the time, in a region dominated by Brahmanism. Brahman pundits (priests) publicly argued about their knowledge of scriptures and spiritualism. Often they would exploit people with superstitious rituals that were contrary to the faith of the scriptures that they taught. If you study this shabad (hymn) more closely, you will see that Guru Nanak did not criticize the Brahmans directly. The Guru only uses corruption among the Brahmans as an example of human weakness. Our ego and the five vices confuse us, causing self-centeredness that makes us clever, greedy, and corrupt people constantly looking for opportunities to main gains at the expense of others.
“You worship stones and sit like a crane, pretending to meditate in a saintly fashion.”
Worship of a stone is foolish. Rocks have no biological function, they have no free will, and they are non-productive. The rock as it is, is the opposite of production and self-improvement. The rock is lifeless, passive, hard, and stable; and very little can affect it. Likewise, the crane first appears the same, standing one-legged in a humble, yoga position on the stone - a foundation for its deceitful hunting pose. The bird looks colorful like a flower, harmless and calm yet it is on lookout for an opportunity to strike. The fish are not aware that they are a quick prey. And when the crane quickly shovels the fish into its mouth, there is no escape. The path to the crane’s stomach is long and slow that prolongs the suffering. The fish slides tightly down the crane’s throat, as it cannot even wiggle or expand its gills to gasp for breath. Unfortunately, some Sikh leaders today are like the crane preying on the unsuspecting community.
“You speak lies and well-ornamented falsehood.”
The Guru explains how pundits go out of their way, misleading people of a simple faith away from reality and trick them into superstitious, meaningless rituals that guarantee no benefit. People are lured into wasting time and effort for the profit of the greedy. It is to the advantage of the crane that the fish remains ignorant of the danger. Alas, most people are easily enchanted with exquisite language full of false promises.
“and recite your daily prayers three times a day.”
Cranes swallow the fish and then fly away howling in pride and satisfaction. The prayers of the hypocritical religious leaders are nothing but expressions of their gratitude for the blind, innocent followers who allow these leaders to feast on them. If these blind followers had known any better, they would have avoided the pundit’s trap.
“The mala of sacred beads is around your neck, and the sacred tilak mark is on your forehead.”
Notice that the beads that hang over the heart is mentioned before the mark on the head. This shows how corrupt people are governed by emotions rather than intellect. Like the beauty of the colored religious beads that cover up the evil plot of these pundit’s, the crane has a destructive scheme hidden under its beauty - the beautiful beak and exotic, fluffy feathers covering its chest.

One cloth isn’t enough, so two are worn to double fool those of blind faith. The loin cloths do not fit tightly around the body. Falsehood can be easily detected if one observes with careful eyes. Without the knowledge of Gurbani, one can easily get caught up in trusting the very people who have no care for your well-being.
“If you know God and the nature of karma,”
The only way to know God is by learning about His Hukam and living by it. All natural laws are God’s hukam. When we accepts this, we learn to live truthful. So how can one become truthful? And how can the false veil of illusion be torn away?
O Nanak, it is written that you shall obey the Hukam of His Command, and walk in the Way of His Will” and “Merits and demerits are read out in the presence of Dharma (Righteous Judge”). “According to their own actions, some are drawn closer, and some are driven farther away.” (Jap Ji Sahib)
“You know that all these rituals and beliefs are useless.”
When one understands hukam and karma, it is easy to recognize falsehood, because trying to bribe God is a foolish insult. Even worse is to use religion to intentionally mislead others. Imagine a government official lying about what forms to fill out to receive benefits. The damage could be devastating.

Take the message of Gurbani and reflect on it, day and night. Faith is belief in something that is beyond your understanding. Giyan/Truth will always be beyond our comprehension. We only understand that Truth is stable, yet we will never know all the intricate details of the universe.

If we do not follow the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib, we will be lead astray by deceivers of truth, like the crane preying on the innocent fish. Sat Guru is exactly the concept of God teaching us truth with the nature that He created, because of His grace. Guru Nanak realized this truth, and blessed humanity with this revelation. Guru Nanak has taken the Giyan Shabad and expressed it in a more contemporary literary style for people to understand. Satgur is not the physical form of anyone or anything- it is the Giyan Shabad itself which is not limited to language, form, or time. For this reason, many hymns in Guru Granth Sahib are from different places, different times, different languages, and different classes of people. Our Guru Granth Ji Maniyo is the Giyan Shabad in the language of the mortal man. Gur giyan is so deep that language can only describe it in a limited way.
“The mortal's life is fruitless, as long as he does not know God.”
To believe in God means to know and accept God’s hukam, and Guru Nanak teaches us about hukam through the Guru Granth Sahib. Without the foundation of the knowledge of the world we live in, how can we survive? From infancy we learn about our environment, created and governed by God’s hukam.
“Only a few, by Guru's Grace, cross over the world-ocean.”
Knowledge of the Guru’s teaching is the only way to survive in this world of deception. Crossing over the sea is a figure of speech, meaning, ”deliverance from our sufferings”. “The faithful is carried across the sea of trouble, and also carries the Sikhs of the Guru across. ” (Jap Ji Sahib) So why are only a few rescued? It is because only a few of us are willing to take the challenge of looking beyond ourselves into truth.
“The Creator, the Cause of causes, is All-powerful. Says Nanak, after deep deliberation.”
Creation undergoes an eternal process of recycling. Molecular changes always happen within and without every object, interacting and reacting constantly with other things. “Some are givers, and some are beggars; God is above the heads of all.” “Oh Nanak, all are subject to birth and death. (Jap Ji Sahib)
“The Creation is under the control of the Creator. By His Power, He sustains and supports it. ||2||”
Although it seems out of control, everything is always in its correct place, because everything obeys hukam. All natural laws of the universe are eternally fully functional
“The Shabad is Yoga, the Shabad is spiritual wisdom; the Shabad is the Vedas for the Brahmin.”
Just as Yoga teaches about the body, so does Gurbani teach the secrets of life. Just as Vedas is valuable to the Brahmin, Gurbani is vital for mankind.

Shabad gives us the knowledge of how to battle our five vices. When we recognize hukam, we function better. We learn to make better decisions in life, and our behavior toward improves. Giyan shabad is our kiyatri weapon to defend ourselves against falsehood. It is bravery in the sense that truth need not prepare itself for battle against falsehood. Truth is always ready and always prevails. “He is from the beginning lover of truth and other virtues.” (Bhagat Jaidev, p. 526) Shoodr are the lowest castes of people who serve all the other castes above them. Shabad unlimitedly serves us. We learn that God’s Hukam of grace operates so intricately and constantly to sustain the universe in which we reside. God is as if our servant, yet we think that He needs our help.

Shabad of truth is only one for all mankind. It does not know caste or status.
“Nanak is the slave of the Divine, Immaculate Lord. ||3||”
Guru Nanak has devoted his life towards making God’s shabad known to all.

There is only one God that exists and He has the power of all gods worshipped. He is self-sufficient and almighty.
“He is the Divinity of the soul, the Supreme Lord who knows the its Secrets.”
God has reserved space within Himself for all of us to exist. Only He knows Himself, which is infinitely beyond our capabilities to understand fully.
“Nanak is the slave of that. He is the Divine Immaculate Lord Himself. ||4||”
All creation testifies to God’s majestic hukam, we are all equally blessed with the essence of reality. This relish of Amrit is offered for everyone.
In conclusion, Guru Nanak uses the image of a crane (pakhandi Brahman pundits) only as an example to teach us that whatever religion anyone practices, he must accept God’s hukam and live truthful. All of us, at times, fall into this category of missing the whole point of living faithful and saintly. Among our own Sikh religious circles, we are blessed to have faithful raggies, preachers, and granthis. However, there are some wealthy granthis, preachers, and greedy raggies also.
The main criticism in Guru Nanak’s Seheskriti Shlok is against man in general. The Guru uses Pakandi Brahmins as an example of man’s tendencies to be suckered into his own ego trap, which ensnares him and others affected by his evil. The only way to protect ourselves from our own self destruction is to, first, understand and live the message of Guru Granth Sahib. Second, empower humanity with this divine knowledge, and finally to defend ourselves and the weak by using the sword as a first resort. I mean, the sword of wisdom of Guru Granth Sahib.

Our Guru Granth Ji Maniyo is the Giyan Shabad in the language of the mortal man. Gur giyan is so deep that language can only describe it in a limited way.
“The mortal's life is fruitless, as long as he does not know God.”
To believe in God means to know and accept God’s hukam, and Guru Nanak teaches us about hukam through the Guru Granth Sahib. Without the foundation of the knowledge of the world we live in, how can we survive? From infancy we learn about our environment, created and governed by God’s hukam.
“Only a few, by Guru's Grace, cross over the world-ocean.”
Knowledge of the Guru’s teaching is the only way to survive in this world of deception. Crossing over the sea is a figure of speech, meaning, ”deliverance from our sufferings”. “The faithful is carried across the sea of trouble, and also carries the Sikhs of the Guru across. ” (Jap Ji Sahib) So why are only a few rescued? It is because only a few of us are willing to take the challenge of looking beyond ourselves into truth.
“The Creator, the Cause of causes, is All-powerful. Says Nanak, after deep deliberation.”
Creation undergoes an eternal process of recycling. Molecular changes always happen within and without every object, interacting and reacting constantly with other things. “Some are givers, and some are beggars; God is above the heads of all.” “Oh Nanak, all are subject to birth and death. (Jap Ji Sahib)
“The Creation is under the control of the Creator. By His Power, He sustains and supports it. ||2||”
Although it seems out of control, everything is always in its correct place, because everything obeys hukam. All natural laws of the universe are eternally fully functional
“The Shabad is Yoga, the Shabad is spiritual wisdom; the Shabad is the Vedas for the Brahmin.”
Just as Yoga teaches about the body, so does Gurbani teach the secrets of life. Just as Vedas is valuable to the Brahmin, Gurbani is vital for mankind.
“The Shabad is heroic bravery for the Khshaatriya; the Shabad is service to others for the Shoodra.”
Shabad gives us the knowledge of how to battle our five vices. When we recognize hukam, we function better. We learn to make better decisions in life, and our behavior toward improves. Giyan shabad is our kiyatri weapon to defend ourselves against falsehood. It is bravery in the sense that truth need not prepare itself for battle against falsehood. Truth is always ready and always prevails. “He is from the beginning lover of truth and other virtues.” (Bhagat Jaidev, p. 526) Shoodr are the lowest castes of people who serve all the other castes above them. Shabad unlimitedly serves us. We learn that God’s Hukam of grace operates so intricately and constantly to sustain the universe in which we reside. God is as if our servant, yet we think that He needs our help.
“The Shabad for all is the Shabad, the Word of the One God, for one who knows this secret.”
Shabad of truth is only one for all mankind. It does not know caste or status.
“Nanak is the slave of the Divine, Immaculate Lord. ||3||”
Guru Nanak has devoted his life towards making God’s shabad known to all.
“The One Lord is the Divinity of all divinities.”
There is only one God that exists and He has the power of all gods worshipped. He is self-sufficient and almighty.
“He is the Divinity of the soul, the Supreme Lord who knows the its Secrets.”
God has reserved space within Himself for all of us to exist. Only He knows Himself, which is infinitely beyond our capabilities to understand fully.
“Nanak is the slave of that. He is the Divine Immaculate Lord Himself. ||4||”
All creation testifies to God’s majestic hukam, we are all equally blessed with the essence of reality. This relish of Amrit is offered for everyone.
In conclusion, Guru Nanak uses the image of a crane (pakhandi Brahman pundits) only as an example to teach us that whatever religion anyone practices, he must accept God’s hukam and live truthful. All of us, at times, fall into this category of missing the whole point of living faithful and saintly. Among our own Sikh religious circles, we are blessed to have faithful raggies, preachers, and granthis. However, there are some wealthy granthis, preachers, and greedy raggies also.
The main criticism in Guru Nanak’s Seheskriti Shlok is against man in general. The Guru uses Pakandi Brahmins as an example of man’s tendencies to be suckered into his own ego trap, which ensnares him and others affected by his evil. The only way to protect ourselves from our own self destruction is to, first, understand and live the message of Guru Granth Sahib. Second, empower humanity with this divine knowledge, and finally to defend ourselves and the weak by using the sword as a first resort. I mean, the sword of wisdom of Guru Granth Sahib.

However, this background picture got my account frozen at ubuntuforums.org, due to the same family values that has caused many a Christian family to found an independent school.
These are the same family values that have led to child abuse, gay-bashing, and other hate crimes.
Yet it is not Christian values that are the problem: it is the near-fascist fanatacism that has cause many a nation to separate church and state.
At the same time, at its most autocratic, Christian fundamentalism is no different from Hindu fundamentalism which has oppressed Muslim and Sikh alike in India, or from Muslim fundamentalism, especially in its Qutbian form of Wahhabism.

"All Sikhs are Khalsa"
From my research of Sikhs and their practice, the current Sikh Rehat Maryada is inspired by the Guru_Granth_Sahib.
However, it is a recent document approved by the Panth in 1950 when mainstream Sikhism predominated the Sikh religion.
Much of what is supposedly traditional Sikh in culture is actually influenced strongly by Hindu culture.
Overall though, all Sikhs are Khalsa. No edicts by a high priest are binding, because the last Guru Gobind Singh left no such instructions.
Regarding the Five K's, the only thing Gobind asked was for all Sikh males to wear five kinds of spiritual weapons.
Instead, only the Guru's Word is binding, not what one Sikh priest says. This Guru is the Sikh holy book, the Adi Granth
For all Sikhs are worthy of forgiveness if the act of meditation on, singing and chanting God's name causes them to forsake violence for peace.
At least, this is the impression I get from the Sikh concept of Nam Simran.
This is all that Guru Gobind Singh asks of all Sikhs:
He who meditates on the Supreme Light, night and day, and believes not in another, has perfect love in the heart and puts not his faith in fasting, tombs, graveyards and convents, and for whom the pilgrimages consist in being compassionate, charitable, chaste and self-disciplined and who recognises in all no one but the One alone, and whose heart is illumined with the Divine Light is a Khalsa, purest of the pure. First a Moment About My Favourite Cellphone Unlocker
Earlier today, I changed my blog's background theme.
we now interrupt this blog entry with a moment about my favourite cellphone unlocker
Then I went to get my Samsung A767 unlocked at my favourite place to get cellphones unlocked. Before I rant about the change of background theme on my blog, I'm going to do my first advertisement in a blog, which is a customer satisfaction plug rather than a paid advertisement. After digging in my wallet to find beyond SCREEN, I realized the proprietor has a website. If you are in Vancouver and don't know where to get your cellphone unlocked, then please check out beyond SCREEN. This is the second time I got one of my cellphones unlocked for $20. When my Samsung smartphone was unlocked, it took less than 30 minutes. This time around, it took 24 hours for the proprietor to get the unlock code and unlock my phone. I also paid upfront for getting the A767 unlocked around 11 AM yesterday after he copied my IMEI and personal information, and returned about 24 hours later with my phone. This time, he unlocked the A767 in less time than it took with my smartphone.

GooglePlus members in my circles may have noticed my new blog theme.
Rather than the decidedly black theme, we're presented with a brown background theme. I must've been mentally constipated when I picked that theme. However, it appears to be a winner because one of the previous posts I wrote has gotten 10+ hits since posting it at 5:39 PM today.
Okay, sure, sometimes the first post of the day gets a lot of hits, but not within 4 hours of posting.
I think the last time I got 10+ hits was with the Sex Sells Commentary on Use of Women in Consumer Marketing. Though it only hit 11 the last time I reviewed my blog's webpage statistics.
Ok, wait a minute. 10 web hits isn't rare. As well, it turns out that my poems are sometimes popular and sometimes not. Ok, so it isn't the brown theme. It's the circumstances of that poem. ;)
Oh well! It might be a slow night. 0_o

The Bardo Prayer Which Protects From Fear
When the journey of my life has reached its end,
and since no relatives go with me from this world
I wander in the bardo state alone,
may the peaceful and wrathful Buddhas send
out the power of their compassion
and clear away the dense darkness of ignorance
When parted from beloved friends, wandering alone
my own projections' empty forms appear,
may the Buddhas send out the power of their compassion
so that the bardo's terrors do not come.
When the five luminous lights of wisdom shine,
fearlessly may I recognize myself;
when the forms of the peaceful and wrathful ones appear
fearless and confident may I recognize the bardo.
When I suffer through the power of evil karma,
may the peaceful and wrathful Buddhas clear away suffering;
when the sound of dharmata roars like a thousand thunders,
may it be transformed into the sound of mahayana teaching.
When I follow my karma, without a refuge,
may the peaceful and wrathful Buddhas be my refuge;
when I suffer the karma of unconscious tendencies,
may the samadhi of bliss and luminosity arise.
At the moment of spontaneous birth in the bardo of becoming,

Commentary on the Burning House Parable
Enshrined in society is the belief that truth telling is highly esteemed, provided the truth being revealed promotes harmony in that society.
However, absolute truth is promoted by taking the natural abhorrence to lying to extremes which promote intolerance and ultimately the practice of shunning the liar.
This however may be due to logical fallacies involved in shunning which creates pariahs and may also condone scapegoating.
Yet within religious communities, be it Eastern or Western, truth is either based on one work of faith or many works of faith, be it belief or works. However, the logical fallacy regarding truth is sometimes used to promote absolute truth despite the natural human tendency to obscure truth and tell a white lie.
When taken to extremes, even a white lie is deemed a lie, and the the believers of absolute truth ignore liars using logical fallacies to justify their ignorance.
Thus white lies and even myths are viewed as lies, rather than as the moderate view that both white lies and myths contain hidden truths which are revealed through careful analysis of the "lie"/myth.
Buddhism is different because I can tell a white lie to persuade you to meditate on an important topic in Buddhism. In order to meditate on this topic, first you concentrate on being conscious of your breathing to stay alert and calm, Then you meditate on the topc (the burning house parable) to develop clarity of mind that results in peace of mind.
The parable of the burning house teaches one about the history of Buddhism, and shows its primary purpose of relieving spiritual suffering is also useful in achieving peace of mind.
For the image of a burning house, and the efforts of a father to help his children escape, is a theme to which most people can relate. As well, the intent of the parable is to relieve a person from mental suffering caused by what the devout among the Christians, Jews and Muslims call decadence (the moral decay of Western society) and hedonism (the practice of carefree enjoyment of the pleasures inherent in such decadence).
Indeed, meditation helps one to manage one's life. More importantly, meditation helps a Buddhist to prepare for the afterlife, because when one is calm, one can understand the three sutras of the Pure Land of Bliss, and guarantees that if I respect the Buddha, practice the Five Precepts, practice the sutras, and meditate on their meaning, I prepare for that afterlife,
For meditation helps a person to develop clarity of mind to act and behave in a harmless manner.
While it can be said of Christians, Jews and Muslims that their religion helps their people behave in a harmless manner, might it be the nominal believers who forget such harmless behavior should happen 24/7 that sectarian violence happens?

Of course, being pro-active would ruin this kind of crime-fighting.
This may be why witnesses who don't want to be involved impede justice.

I tried this emotional intelligence test and the answer said I have an above average score.

BC social Development Invites Select PWD Clients to Participate in AEEE Trial
For clients who have to report income as a person with disabilities (PWD),the BC Ministry of Social Development (MSD) has a written invitation for those clients who qualify for the Annualized earning exemptions (AEE) during the trial phase for 2013.
This invitation to participate is optional.
This means that the seasonal monthly income is deducted from the annual limit, which for a single person is $9600.
Once maximum annual income reaches $9600, income may be cut off for the year. if it surpasses the amount of income assistance.
In addition, MSD will include a statement with each monthly stub showing how much is remaining on the AEE.
This certainly then is incentive to report income and helps PWD clients who have seasonal, on-call employment.
Thus, a client meets the criteria for the Phase 1 invitation if s/he|they

TIPS TO SECURE YOUR NETWORK
1) DESIGNATE YOUR IT PERSON
You need one person who knows how to secure your network, whether

The Montreal student uprising is predated by the writings of Montreal university student Jamaleddine.
Everyone remembers the 2000 G-20 protests in Montreal. During that protest, evidence of police brutality came to light.
12 years later, when the student protests over student fees arose in April 2012, it was met with the same level of police violence as in 2000.
After these protests died as winter drew near, Gilles Vaillancourt,
the mayor of Laval and Gerald Tremblay, the mayor of Montreal had resigned in the wake of corruption charges against them.
Thus, Jamaleddine's words are very prophetic.

Why Benghazi Was Underprotected
Benghazi fell because Libyan policy before after Gadaffi fell from power was this: "you may bomb Gadaffi but never set foot in Libya".
Why was this the case? Because no Muslim likes an occupation army in his country. This resentment for European and American presence is tempered by oppressive French and British rule during their colonial foray at emùpire-building, which now is continued by America's aggressive economic empire building.
It can also be seen in how the UN voted for Palestine's presence as non-member observer: America, and its main trade partner Canada, and a handful of Latin American nations friendly to the US due to tourist dollars. In contrast, the rest of the world backed Palestine, thanks to the work of pro-Palestine organizations and people both in Canada and around the world.
Returning to Benghazi, I am thankful to Paula Broadwell for whistle-blowing regarding the cover-up by Obama, falsely attributing the loss of American lives at the embassy on an anti-Muslim movie by Coptic Christians eager to engage Salafi oppressors in their home nation of Egypt.
The fact still remains that America complied by Libyan demands to not place an occupation force to guard its national asset in Benghazi.
My guess is, Libya feared exposure of munitions recovered from Gadaffi stockpiles making its way into Syria through the Qaeda network to replenish Qaeda militants in Syria, whose job is to attack both Syrian rebels and the Assad government troops so as to prepare the country for the Muslim Brotherhood to rule as it had in Egypt.
It would be embarassing for America to realize that Libya fought this civil war, not just because Gadaffi was oppressive during his regime but because he dared to share the oil wealth in a socialist manner in the Alberta tar sand way, by giving every Libyan a share of oil profits. Additinally Gadaffi wanted to create an Arab gold currency standard. However, Libya fell to rebel troops who most likely had moral support from Big Oil interests through their lobbyists in DC.
So the propaganda in the article below is interesting in pretending America had no interest in Libya. It's stupid for mass media to continue to deny that America's interest in Iraq, and even in Libya, is due to Big Oil pressuring Washington to feed America's hunger for oil.
As for Afghanistan, the reason there is murky but the invasion caused heroin exports to Europe and the US to rise, along with the other cash crop, cannabis. So most likely it was to increase funds for black-ops in the region. ;)

PressTV's Propaganda or News Facts?
I've viewed PressTV and find myself amused by the spin they take.
I hope they interview that Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram about her songs for children, and her assuming modesty after her early years as entertainer, showing off her beauty. PressTV would perfectly play the clown for a classroom of middle school students.
Its content is easy enough for children 12 and up to understand to get a feel for Shi'a propaganda as opposed to the Salafi-influenced Egyptian and Hamas rhetoric and the civil war in Iraq between Salafi Sunni who were once the ruling minority and Shi'a majority (which actually now has become internal conflict within Iraqi parliament.
It is sad that Assad's Syria consists of the same demographics as Iraq but is not surprising as Iraq and Syra have been under Baathist dictatorships since 1966. Thus, the struggle in Syria is related to the NATO-backed Salafi Sunnis and the rebel Shi'a nationalists of Iraq, many of whom love the Iranian moral support but crave more munitions be diverted from Iran, rather than the infrequent trickle of today.
